the Cherlene version of Danger Zone is pretty badass

i'm appalled that Closer cost more than $5M. i wonder how much the actual *production* costs were. some of those sets were nice, but so much of it was done in dwellings and offices.

i believe she owns/produces the show, yes? that's really the only way to make the BIG bucks. Like Oprah, or Letterman or whoever.

it's been a while since i saw Good Hair, but i always assumed her perfectly-coiffed "straight" hair was fake, and that her natural hair was very short. Perhaps that's what we saw here?

based on the cast and subject matter, i would've laid money on this being a Joe Carnahan project. Will we ever get to see Killing Pablo?

see, that's some horseshit. if The Capitol is what makes a city the "capital" of its state/nation/people, then what's the difference? Just call it the capitol city, and leave "capital" to money.

see, here we go again: i was always taught that Capitol was the seat of government, and Capital was money (or property/assets). Now i see that Capital is also the *city* that contains the Capitol Building.

oh, i thought Jay said Colin had double Kristen's score. my bad, i haven't seen the episode yet.

see, this is the shit that makes me think all my textbooks were outdated garbage. Also: i was an EXCELLENT student (valedictorian, in fact) - and i am CONVINCED that we were taught Savannah and Knoxville were state capitols - only to find out later they were not (but they HAD been once upon a time!). I remember

i am not familiar with that one. I remember "on the spot DICESPIN" instead of "DECISION", tho.

it always irks me when double-letters are left uncalled, ESPECIALLY in the final round. Also: unless Sajak dialed in a "$0" somehow, each letter is worth $1000+the value of wedge he hit. So if he hit $500, each letter is $1500 in that last round.

i always thought (possibly, was taught, in shitty public schools) that 1 *is* a prime number.

you know, i don't know what Jesse Owens looks like? I always assumed he looked like Cleavon Little.

her full names is Carmen Sandiego Rodham-Marquez, THANK YOU.

it was either her, or Handy Manny. And Dora's far more universal (univision?). But she's terrible - worthless hack writing and no substance. At least Manny swings a hammer.

the Cardinals of the 1980s were HUGE on the Suicide Squeeze - WHITEYBALL, baby!! The "Safety Squeeze" is for dilettantes.

she's the inverse of the Jeopardy! contestant with whom i usually sympathize - the smart person who's too slow on the buzzer. You see those folks buzzing furiously on every question, because they're no dummies and of course they know the answer.

yeah, i would've said "John C Reilly" before Pig Vomit. But also: any older white guy - Luke WIlson? It coulda been a pseudo-sequel to Royal Tennenbaums.

Elizabeth Shue is FURIOUS right now
