then they haven't watched Die Hard 3 enough - it's the ultimate mnemonic for Clinton = 42. Clinton 42, Bush Sr 41 (who is also called "Bush 41" a lot), Reagen 40. REAGAN 40!!!

me too! except i had a *chronic* boner, not a terminal one. just gets worse over time….
hey, don't yell at me - i'm not the one who put her in front of a camera and said, "OK, little girl - time to disprove the stereotypel!". That was the implied purpose of her throwing for us after all that psychological torture of the boy. Otherwise, have a little boy throw for us and make fun of HIM. That little…
and let's not forget the "Like a girl" ad that showed a girl throwing "like a girl" - badly. Really, she threw like a kid who doesn't know how to throw. But still, not helping girls' cause with that bit.
how about that Dodge (I think?) ad where dimly-lit, super-old people implore you to live while you can? It was shot like a DTV-sequel to Book Of Eli or something
i noticed an uptick in the "old dudes reads a dramatic poem over B-roll of scenery" commercials. I have no idea what any of them were for.
it has its flaws, but you're correct. it adheres pretty closely to the novel, too.
yeah, but still!
here in STL, we got this local ad - (spoiler alert!) another dead kid!! http://deadspin.com/i-cant-…
while Karen's bouncing around was kind of annoying, Cate was a statue - a very pretty one, mind you - who barely moved but fluttered her eyes a lot and had a nice smile. She was a good player too, but something irked me about her in the same way Gwyneth Paltrow does - maybe i'm just prejudiced against pretty blondes.
i found most everyone on Homeland to be insufferable, which is why i don't watch it anymore.
or Graham Crackers. :)
oh please, talk about insufferable characters. Their son is THE WORST (i.e. he's a 10yo boy who wont' shut up and isn't cute enough to pull it off). The daughter - we get it. She's rebelling and nosey. Her visit to "The Aunt" was great, but bickering with her parents? Talking to her friend on the bus? WHOOO…
the kids are there for "stakes" - and now for *real stakes* given the KGB's designs on the daughter. but the actual dialogue/occurrences of those scenes with the kids (and Stan's wife, for that matter) are completely skippable.
the key to this show is: skip anything involving the kids, or Stan's wife. They might add weight to the drama, but they are not important to the plot.
the Dollop is great, especially when it turns out that the subject is part of a famous story, and those of us who don't recognize his/her name is surprised (along with Gareth) that it's THAT (Fill in famous event) GUY?!?!
i just stumbled across "3 Women" on Amazon Prime last night - i'd never even heard of it! Altman did so many films (including The Company, recently) that went unremembered.
oh, wow: I forgot The Martian is coming out in late November, too! I'm so psyched for Bond/Martian/Star Wars. It'll be nice that i'll have finished my degree this spring, so i can enjoy them multiple times, guilt-free. (personal victory!)
i'm sure Ben Stiller will put out some "TBD family comedy" on Christmas Day.
thanks goodness. I want Mi5 to do well, if only for McQuarrie's future film prospects. It was gonna get crushed by Bond24+Star Wars7+HungerGames4
