I also found that a little jarring. Even though the rock itself has ‘officially’ had a dual name since 1993, with Uluru listed first since 2002, it seems rather misplaced to use the old colonial name in 2020.

But now she is Supergirl’s sister over on CW! Probably much less $$$ but I enjoy her character and she probably gets more family time as a fairly secondary character.

With regard to the birds, my guess is that it was a flock of passenger pigeons. According to Wikipedia: “These flocks were frequently described as being so dense that they blackened the sky and as having no sign of subdivisions.” They are extinct now, because humans suck.

The subtitles are way easier to read in IMAX.

100% this. I had cancer twice- once in my teens and again in my early 20s. I spent a lot of time in oncology wards and I can affirm that getting cancer does not make someone less of an asshole. There were older, entitled adults who thought that because they had important jobs that they shouldn’t have to wait as long.

Nothing will ever top Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. (I’m only kind of joking as I straight up love those stupid movies).

I wonder if it has something to do with the modern filming process- High Definition can make or break a makeup job.

That would have been such a weird experience for the other passengers. As you cram your knees behind your 31 inches of seat clearance and wait for your bits and bites, you look over and there is a former Prince sitting across the aisle.  We live in strange days. I wonder if he would get tea or coffee?

There is a serious world-wide pilot shortage; there were even budget lines in Europe offering to train you from zero to co-pilot in-house. My guess he moved up the ladder a little quicker than in the old days.

Like, I don’t like know, what you are like talking about. *hairtoss*

I actually teared up a little- my little cynical heart need that. Not everything needs to be dissected for layers of deeper meaning or symbolism. Sometimes a thing can just be awesome and heart-warming.

I would have been curious what would happen if Tom had won any money- he is Canadian, but seems to live in New York. Would he still have to pay American taxes? In Canada, your prize money is tax-free. A million dollars in a million dollars or technically $1,312,250 CAD if converting from USD.

They both used to do a podcast called the Indoor Kids about video games. I obviously can’t make a judgement other than the hours of hearing them talk together but I think they are in it to win it. I love their dynamic.

Moby is on my Creep list after that story about Natalie Portman came out. Glad he likes animals so much, but he should treat humans better.

My DVR allows me to add an extra couple minutes to the end in my recording options, which saves those mic drops nicely, though I get what you’re saying. I went a few years without having TV service at all, and just streamed from network websites. When I got fiber, they offered Cable/DVR for an extra $15 bucks so I

My grandma was an indigenous person in Canada. I grew up wearing the moose-hide moccasins she made, lined with coyote or rabbit fur. The animals were hunted by my uncles and the meat was kept and eaten and we still hunt for meat every year.

All good! Happy Halloween and sorry for assuming you were American.

Okay, thanks for the information- not sure why July is emphasized. As far as I was aware, the show was originally commissioned by CBC from Frantic Films and IFC was just the American distributor. Sorry if I got that wrong, as it is listed as ‘original programming’ on CBC which is a big deal over here because there are

Isn’t Baroness Von Sketch Show a Canadian production? I would think CBC would be the arbiter of whether it got renewed for season 5. Sorry to be pedantic, but I gotta shout out for my ridiculously funny country (see also Schitts Creek, Letterkenny)

Fun fact- I went to school with a boy named Jihad, so that is a thing that happens. From what I understand, before 9/11 the definition for the word was more neutral: ‘struggle for a noble cause’ as opposed to literal ‘holy war’. I wonder if he ended up changing his name- probably had a rough few years. I’m in Canada
