God yes. My old job was in an area where there are not traditionally a lot of women. I got every one of those lines and one of my supervisors was basically Yon-Rogg. Instead of ‘not using my powers’ I was not supposed to divert from his workflows or bring up ideas to higher-ups. I got his job eventually :)
