I’m starting a PhD in STEM this fall, and am SO dreading that. Being assertive is just not in my nature, at all, and I have to consciously work at it. Hillary is kind of my hero because of how tough she’s been over the last 30 years dealing with all the patriarchal bullshit. Thanks to her, and women like her, and the

As also a woman who loves prorgamming/CS going into another male-dominated field...YES! Your comment inflamed my cold heart and I am now feeling the rage!

Yes to this. It’s this blindness to the whole issue that gets me.

I go by a gender neutral nickname. It’s always pretty telling when people call and ask to speak to “my boss” or something equally stupid.

THIS! Christ, it’s like people have no understanding of what it actually takes to survive as a woman in a male dominant profession.

It could be a case of positions held by women who work for Sanders may positions that requires lower pay.

Sure you can! If you’re a politician! Who just says things! And has no plans/ chance to actually execute them! But Hillary must not be a feminist because she gained much of her power through marriage! And it’s feminist to prevent women from gaining power through marriage even though men have been doing so for

“Because men and sometimes women will tell you “Women can’t program/politics/etc” so you have to basically shut them down by proving yourself ten times over and it DOES NOT END”

Kissinger was recently invited by Obama to the White House — You can certainly disagree with his actions (as I do) but I would rather have a leader who engages than refuses to speak with the enemy. I feel this way about Wall Street, which I know I’ll get slammed for. Wall Street is powerful and going no where. I trust

They way they demonize her sounds exactly like right-wingers. It’s scary how alike they are.

It’s the top positions that make all the decisions dude. We’ve had secretary pools for a loooooong time, so your whole, “what if the next 50 people are women” argument is pretty weak. I used to work at a firm that had all men in charge (6) and everyone else was a woman (~20). Everyone else being assistants, event

“Lookin’ at you, Hillary...”

I would much rather a candidate have staff that they have a history with, or have great experience/skills rather than just hiring a bunch women to make them look good. Lookin’ at you Hilary....

Berners will make any and every excuse for his every action. Ever. They literally believe that he has never and will never ever to anything wrong. Bernie has their complete and utter devotion. It’s a little scary.

Well, duh. Hillary Clinton is incapable of doing anything right ever and is never genuine in intent or action. She is a soulless monster whose entire motivation is to be president, not because she wants to be president or to do good, but because she wants to make our lives worse and corporations profits bigger.

Or

I’m a male Bernie supporter, here’s my take:

Wait until you find out how many people of color are on his staff compared to Hillary’s.

you don’t think that, as a woman in a largely male field, that she has created relationships with other women in that field? so even when she puts her money where her mouth is RE gender equality, she is pandering?

Of course with Clinton it’s all for show. *eyeroll* All while coming up with excuses for why Bernie doesn’t have any women in his top paid employees. Do you even hear yourself?

Bernie’s campaign was run by 3 old white Dukakis-era guys for months at the beginning. He didn’t hire any women or minorities till after the BLM protests started. It’s not very surprising that that problem exists till today.
