No!!! Don’t feel hopeless. Keep up the good work. It really sounds like you’re on the right track. From my experience, undoing decades of not great lifestyle choices takes a while. Maybe even years.

First you said ‘cardio’, then ‘moderate intensity endurance cardio’ and now it’s anything that’s not weightlifting. The basis of your point has changed three times.

There are definitely bad seeds there like there are with anything especially related to fitness/athletics. My issues is that your comment demonstrates you have the same attitude you’re criticizing just on the other side.

Crossfitters do a ton of cardio. It’s really one half Crossfit; lift heavy fast. They tend to call it conditioning though. FYI.

That’s good. Although if you didn’t see results, then maybe a different trainer was in order. A good trainer understands your body and needs. Like a good therapist.

I think people have a misunderstanding about gyms. Gyms aren’t a magical place one enters and automatically loses weight/gains muscle as long as they do a few things.
