I have only one child, but am one of six. When we were deciding whether or not to have another, I asked my mom, "But what if we lose her?" My mother responded that it didn't matter how many kids you had—none is replaceable and no other child, should, in any case, be expected to fill a void.

Please don't be offended by the following: Your parents did a mean, selfish thing. It was short sighted and wrong headed. I loathe the concept boot strapping. It's just another way of being unforgivably cheap.

Good points, all.

But there at AMAZING facilities at state schools. A hell of lot of them.

Interesting. I am, to be blunt, a pretty sophisticated consumer of media. I read and watch it in all forms, and like a lot of Canadian media.

Honest, non snarky question:

But why should your care about an American magazine having an American sensibility? It's not like Canadians don't have sophisticated media. Why would you care about an American fashion magazine?

I agree about diversity on covers, big time. But this is the least optimistic I have ever seen Americans. Believe it or not, our optimism can be a good thing, when it helps our resilience. American optimism was never solely about idiot God Bless America BS. It was also about resilience and a sense that people could

We have had buddy pets for 30 years. Cats LOVE having a kitty buddy. They become siblings.

I explained this, but I'll try again:

As an old, I can attest how lovely it was in the '70s and '80s, when fashions were often designed to allow women with small or medium sized breasts to go braless. That's why shirts with pockets on both sides were so hot. So were slouchy sweaters you wore shirts under.

But if tests are only needed for high risk guys, it follows that they aren't ended by the non-high risk. So why is more testing "unfortunate"? That's really all I meant.

I'm aware of how they are performed, but considering how reluctant men can be to seek regular check ups, suggesting the exam should happen more often might make men avoid check ups they might otherwise need. They may not, for example, have a BP follow up for fear that the prostate test make become an issue.

Why is that unfortunate? Over testing has real hazards.

Well stated!

I didn't say you said "all." I used the term "small breasted women," just like you did. Also, why do you think I took it personally? I called out you on body shaming, period. By accusing me of "taking it personally," you engage in the exact same behavior that people use to keep women down—the classic implication that

Why do you assume small breasted women have complexes? You write like you've been some sort of victim, yet you trade in a nasty stereotype yourself. Passive aggressive joking is not funny or enlightening.

If you ever have sleep problems (who doesn't?) get a short-term supply of Ambien. Take one to find out when the brief period of euphoria arrives for you after taking it. Then, one night, when you are pretty sure hubs is in the mood, tell him you've taken one and will be giddy (with desire ?) in a few. Get him going

That is a great story. Charcoal is NEVER wrong! For anything. Confession: My handbag love is very flashy. I think it's a rebellion against the careful, subdued choices my mother made in purses. Now, she likes metallic, too.

10 stars!!!!!!
