I am so glad you raised this. I had high blood pressure at doctor visits for years, and doctors said it was "white coat syndrome." Yes, doctor visits made me a bit nervous, but I also had a bad family history.
I have high blood pressure. This is excellent advice!
I concur that looking like the right "kind" of woman does matter after a certain age, but I'm not sure if it's upper middle class.
