I agree. But to be fair, they talked about things differently back then. Wojtowicz refers to her by the name she was born with — and as a man/husband — in interviews from that period of time. Still doesn't let someone writing in 2014 off the hook, though.

It's fucking bizarre to me that cable companies think they can survive by pushing these bloated bundles of channels no one wants to watch. If you let me pay, say, $10 a month, I'll pay for HBO. (A la the Netflix model.)

I'm with you — all my crushes have been on ladies and gentlemen who are much older than I am. I'm 26 now, and that's starting to equalize a bit, but for the most part, I've always hated people my own age!

The extra hair on your knuckles? Or going blind?

I felt like the characters were equally mindless, but that the monsters in PR were better than the bad guys in this one. (The Godzilla remake, on the other hand, I didn't like so much.)

I agree. I didn't HATE it, but I also don't get the massive love for this. It was empty, mindless summer fun, but definitely nothing more. As far as summer blockbusters go, I remember enjoying "Pacific Rim" last summer much more than this one.

It's good, though — whoever it works on, you didn't want to date anyway. (I say this as a lady.)

I REALLY hope my high school journals are in a landfill somewhere. The thought of them floating around for someone to find… Yikes.

Roll credits over Badfinger's "Baby Blue."

Only OK if we get a Mulder and Scully cameo.

I was around the same age when I picked up "Slacker," only I picked it up in the early 2000s. I definitely think it's up there with his best work.

Linklater imbued the film with structure and humor. It isn't some formless, experimental piece that's inaccessible or boring. I have a hard time imagining that there's anyone who could watch it and be left cold by it.

YES! I was in like, ninth grade when I heard about this, and I'm 26 now. I feel like I've sort of grown up on Linklater's films, and this one took my breath away! Holy shit.

True story: It wasn't originally going to be called "Boyhood." Its working title was "12 Years," but Linklater said they changed it after "12 Years a Slave" came out so recently.

This is an Armond White gimmick account, no?

I think we got to see Michael Vartan's ass in that film. Whatever happened to that guy?

I enjoyed "Garden State" when it came out. I was 15? 16? I almost barfed my BRAINS out when I saw the trailer last week, at the age of 26. Ugh, the treacle!

Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to lie and act like it would have helped much if he played any other type of character, but I found that tidbit especially annoying when I heard about this film.

I think this is 100 percent a joke. Too self-aware not to be.

Those were definitely my thoughts after watching this episode. HOW DID I STICK WITH THESE SHOWS? I must really hate myself.
