Same thing?

Always been a huge fan of Linklater and his willingness to experiment, starting with "Slacker."

Now that, I'd say, is a valid criticism. Dude on the upper left looks like the leader of the hipster fashion parade. (Of course, he's the resident artist.)

Oh, me too! This is excellent. And I think it should appeal to a lot of people.

FOREVER UNCLEAN!

Yeah, he's WAY too handsome to be straight. Also, damn, he's Australian??

Totally agree. But pretty much every basic cable show ("Girls" included, but also "The L Word" and others) has to feature at some point or another a really pretentious, over-the-top artiste.

I also think that would be good. Shows don't typically portray characters this way.

Question — am I the only female that watched this pilot? Genuinely curious about this show's viewer demographic. I really am enjoying what I've seen of it so far.

Of tits?

I know, for half a second, I thought that's where things were going.

Yeah, but for some reason, I can imagine Jessa just expecting Hannah to forgive her, which Hannah always does, because having Jessa around makes her feel cool.

The construction of the show — and how good the writers and actors are about building these worlds/characters — totally reminds me of the X-Files in all of the best ways. (I mean, in addition to Gillian Anderson!) Hope this show gets many more seasons. I love it already.

Harrison Ford was such a babe.

SO agreed. I kind of like Morgan sometimes too, but Jeremy and Peter don't really work. (Sorry, weirdo Pally fanatics.)

Last night's episode is a terrible place to start, FWIW. It WAS totally disjointed and random, due to what I can only guess is some bad editing (story-wise and scene-to-scene).

Love this show, really disliked this episode. The shift to LA felt really random, and the editing was disjointed to the point of being spectacularly distracting.

Starring the revived corpse of Paul Walker. Too soon?

Not terribly fond of 2013's crop of offerings, I guess.

I thought they were implying the opposite? Not sure. Any photos of the real-life Dr. M? ;)
