Doesn't mean this generic flashy pile of hot garbage (NOW WITH PLENTY OF WHITE SPACE) isn't still… garbage. Did I mention how generic it looks now?

Sure, makes sense if you're looking for a new readership that favors big images over thoughtful commentary. Kind of feels like that's where we're headed here anyway.

Maaaaaaaaybe three years ago.

Well, I'm sure your advertisers are happy. I'm sure some corporate dickwad waltzed in and told you this is what "the people" want. This is how "young people" are using the web, and laptops/PCs are dead, right?

Pretty soon, the only thing TV Club will be reviewing is "American Idol." And reviews will all be pictures, instead of articles.

Ditto. I was in high school when I started reading A.V. Club. I am now several years out of college, and this site has taken a massive turn for the worst. This design is probably the last straw for me, now that the site is so difficult to navigate. (I think Todd is one of the last writers I like around here.)

If this is the future, then I am a bit scared.

So the A.V. Club made a deal with the devil.

Double-bagged, so when it rips, we all get Canceraids.

YES! That is exactly what it looks like.

But the quality of the articles/content has already dropped off the last couple of years :(

It's been SO long since my favorite writers/features were replaced. WHO DECIDED NO MORE TASTE TEST? Hell, I still miss the Hater. And movie/music reviews here blow now. Why am I even here?

I googled the show title and episode title, and Google points me to the review page. Unfortunately, though you can tell the review has been written (via the first sentence of the review you can see from the Google search returns), the link you click returns a "Dead Air" missing page message.

Yeah, since the best staff members left, I stopped coming here for movie/music reviews. Basically just here for TV Club comment boards… comments seem to contain better content than the actual reviews nowadays. And now I can't even navigate TV Club reviews at all. Getting that "Dead Air" notification when I managed to

I don't mind the gmail redesign. At least I can ignore all of the marketing/mass emails that used to clutter the actual content. THIS STILL BLOWS.

Yeah, aside from how annoying it is to search for stuff, I HATE HATE HATE how all Disqus-based websites are clones now.

Exactly. That's fine on individual articles, but the homepage looks straight-up stupid now.

It will live in infamy, that's for sure. The final nail in the A.V. Club's coffin.

Edit: Nevermind.

Me too. (Yeah, staff changes/changes in content focus have definitely meant I come here a LOT less. Mostly just here for TV Club comment sections, and those aren't even easy to find anymore.) Where am I supposed to go now?
