This will probably be an unpopular opinion, but in our yard, I used Conquer (pesticide). Last year, we had more than a dozen ticks (probably more than 20). this year, we had a couple before we sprayed and have had none after. Obviously, it helps to also keep your grass and surroundings cut low (and kept that way).

Or, just give them to my wife, she fucking LOVES counting money (doesn’t matter if it’s metal or paper).
