Reading other commenters talking about Misophonia is a great relief (I'm not alone!). When I watch this video, I start to get all "HULK SMASH" then I stop the video (only takes a few seconds of hearing her). I'm guessing that method would reduce the effectiveness of the oven cleaner (combination of dripping off and drying out in the breeze). But, I was asking about the getting rid of the Lye solution, not the oven cleaner.

1: It's basically drain cleaner, so it can be dumped down the drain
2: (slowly) neutralize it with citric acid (it's an exothermic reaction)
3: check ordnances, it may not be legal to dump that much into the sewer system
4: not sure how to…

So, assuming you end up going with the water/lye method, what do you do with that solution when you're done cleaning the pan? I'm assuming dumping it down the drain is a bad idea.

Try the 3M hooks with the removable strips on the back. They work fairly well on just about everything I've tried (and they have outdoor versions).

I love the aisle seat, but I also carry those bleach moist towelette's and rub down any surface I expect to touch (head rest in front, tray table, arm rests, seat belt buckle) and then I'm pretty disciplined about not touching my face until after I've washed my hands at the terminal.

I'm using my iPad less and less now that I have the iPhone 6 plus. Yes, it's a big ass phone, but it's quickly becoming the phone and the laptop, with nothing in the middle needed. Great for travel weight reduction.

Another confirmer. We just did this with a bedroom. One thing we added was the use of a steamer as well. Scratch the surface with one of those rotary wallpaper tools, wet it down with the mixture of fabric softener and water, then, after a couple minutes, steam and slide off with a plastic putty knife.
