Pixar should go for a hard R next time

I think part of it has to do with the ratings themselves changing over the years. Notably movies like Raiders of the Lost Ark and even Jaws were rated “PG” as there was nothing higher at the time and those movies actually pushed for a more “adult” rating to be available in the system.

I was watching an episode of The Bear the other day and the captions informed me that the song being played was by Taylor Swift. It was something about Romeo and Juliet. I didn’t really care for it though.

Are we sure they were Swifties and not Qualley-fiers?

Where’s ‘Mad Dog and Glory’? A great and quirky performance genre swapping with Bill Murray.

So you’re saying he’s got soul...but he’s not a soldier?

When I was a kid, movies hit the premium cable channels before they got a VHS release.

In my day, it took an entire year for a movie to hit VHS and we hated liked it!

“We learned pop culture in Chicago. We were fucking corndogs.”

Extremely shitty websites that I keep going to out of some misplaced feeling of nostalgia for when it was good.

To be clear, this article was obviously written by a human being. Most likely a very underpaid human being who probably didn’t particularly want to write it. But not every article on this site is written by human beings now, and that’s fucked.

The only reason someone should return an acting award is if it turns out it’s not actually their performance, somewhat like Milli Vanilli and their Grammy. This obviously hasn’t happened yet, and isn’t likely to any time soon, but I suppose we could get to a point where actors are replaced with computer generated

Now I want to see Margot Robbie basically play Jack Nicholson in those Batman interviews, but for Barbie:

THE MOST IMPORTANT WAR IS KEEPING MR. POTATO HEAD A MISTER! [sips adrenachrome shake]

How does going to see a movie protect children?

Wait, I was told that the most important war is the war against capitalism. Was I misinformed?

What “realities” does the film expose? It’s based on a true story that was widely reported in the media when it originally happened, and most of the film takes place in Central and South America, a place that the target audience has little-to-no sympathy for when they come to the States to seek asylum.

Usually I don’t get too worked up about listicles, but the absence of Malcolm X from this list is criminal.
