I don’t disagree with anything you’re saying. Nobody should “just take” being oppressed and/or ignored. I’m really only talking about this in relation to Dunham’s comment about comedy. I agree with her that people shouldn’t expect to be protected from certain language.

I see what you’re saying. That makes sense. But in relation to comedy specifically, shouldn’t the general assumption be that everyone can “just take it?”

I’m confused...are you saying that women aren’t powerful and can’t just take it? Really not trying to start a fight, but I don’t understand that last sentence.
