Precisely. I don't think Jessia is going to jump off a building unless she absolutely had to.

In the comics it is pheromone based so he needs to be physically near someone. I am only on episode 4 but the show will probably stick with that as well I assume.

I guess I saw the MAX series at that time was trying to stay pretty grounded with little to no supernatural or alien influences in its stories.

All good points above but I sort of see it as people blaming first responders not being able to rescue everyone from the towers on 9/11. They would be the last people you would be resentful towards specifically rather than the actual perpetrators. Of course there is the "otherness" of most of the Avengers having

I didn't understand how the lady in Jessica Jones blamed the Avengers for all the death and destruction. I'm pretty sure if the Avengers weren't there Loki and the Chitauri would have killed quite a few more not to mention the World Security Council nuking Manhattan. I will agree there are many times comic heroes

I would love to see a Netflix version of the Punisher MAX series which superseded even the initial run of Punisher Warzone. An aging but still capable Frank Castle was epic. Even had a (white) Nick Fury cameo that they could pull Sam L. Jackson in for. Not to mention giving you more of Frank's back story in Vietnam

Have to give it a look. Typically can't go wrong with Morrison (excluding the convoluted mess that was Final Crisis).

It seemed like he was taking care to do the least damage to his property while Jessica was over in the corner wrecking the place.

Knew I could count on Arex for the real scoop. Always been a Marvel guy. I only really followed some of the DC characters (predominantly Batman) during the 80s with large gaps during the 90s. Didn't jump back on the DC wagon until Grant Morrison's run on JLA. I only owned a few of the Silver Age stuff which DC

My thoughts exactly. I groaned when they played it out like that, especially considering Lord's previous comments to Alex about his parents didn't seem to hint that he was this much of a psychopath.

I still can't get over that Jimmy isn't a ginger. Who would have thought changing Jimmy into a black man would transform him into a 'playa'. I still find it pretty jarring over his usual incarnations.

Curious where does the Martian Manhunter conspiracy come from especially since the character is using the name of a known DC character and not one of MM's aliases.

The problem I see with this is that they are setting up Supergirl like nearly every incarnation of Superman. This same premise of testing Superman was done by Lex Luthor in John Byrne's reboot of the comic, in the cartoon pilot as you point out, in the JLU cartoon, in Lois & Clarke the TV series and probably elsewhere

Oh good Steven Lang is in this…waitaminute he's in a wheelchair. So guess he won't be doing any action scenes. Didn't catch the whole conversation but is his character supposed to be the former Regent?

I only remember Dr. Doom using his power to take over the entire world (yeah everybody) in Emperor Doom which is surprisingly canon.

The first BLOPS was somewhat bearable, second a complete, implausible mess and the third looks like more of the same. I definitely won't be tricked into buying this one. Even the first one had such inefficient coding on the backend that unnecessarily taxed even a moderate gaming PC while the Medal of Honor and Ghost

Yeah that was one of the BS explanations as well. All of it was mental gymnastics to explain away how stupid his co-workers were.

When did Maxwell Lord become a genius. Aside from the fact that this makes him no different from Lex Luthor what was wrong with him just being a Trump-like businessman?

In the Superman vs. Aliens (yes that actually exists) he was even reluctant to kill aliens. I believe that series also had a version of Supergirl/Kara in it.

It's been insinuated that Superman does subtlely blur his face when around people he knows or when people are taking video or photos of him and that no one has an actual clear image of his features. It's a total copout and retcon though. (mentioned in the comments in the link David Smith used)
