There are parts of NY state (not even that far from NYC) that are every bit as backwoods and backward as anywhere in Appalachia.

I live in Central New York, and you’d be surprised how many confederate flags you see on the backs of trucks. They pretend it’s “heritage” but these inbred fuckers’ family trees have never been south of Pennsylvania.
