Everything Ianucci does is so good. I need to see this.

I like the show a lot! But the pilot was very weak, imho. I could see why they passed. That autotune joke was so … dated and weird.

I mean, why cast the co-lead of Nikita in another spy show if you plan to keep her waiting tables the whole time?

Yeah, definitely. It's just that you see a clear disconnect between the quality what they offer for kids (this, the Turbo series, etc) and that prestige-type programming. I think ASoUE deserves to be treated more as a Marco Polo-type affair instead of just kids' stuff. Which it is kids' stuff, but … I love ASoUE!

Oh god, I hope A Series of Unfortunate Events gets better treatment than this.

Honestly, even Season 1 had a load of problems that turned me off of watching Season 2 in the first place. It had a lot of amazing concepts that it just completely failed to follow up on in any worthwhile capacity - I couldn't believe how they just shelved dealing with the class differences between benders and

In the comics, yeah she definitely is. I don't know how it'll play out in the movies where they say she is younger, and yet still are playing around in the post-World War II/Cold War-ish pool the character originates from. It makes sense for them to establish a nod to the beginnings of this program that produced her.

I don't think it would be Natasha Romanoff, but like Marvel's other Soviet heroes, the Black Widow mythos is shaped by the idea that there is more than one, that they're replaceable. Based off of all the nods to Black Widow mythos so far, (using ballet as a cover, Dottie cribbing Natasha's fighting style from Iron Man

As someone with both Hulu and Netflix accounts, I hate it when Hulu gets exclusive rights to something. I don't want to have to deal with the ads and the less-friendly UI.

Oh no! Not her beautiful bay window!

Come on, you know that the show is excessive. Just because misogyny was king back then doesn't mean that every other scene needs to be Cinemax softcore.

The first trade of Velvet was breathtaking, I would have had it on here.

I like the slice of life issues of "All-New" a LOT, but I think "Uncanny" is a little more consistently fun. And for my money, the terribleness of the Bendis-ing of X-23 almost outweighs my fondness for Young Jean.

Yelena Belova allllll the way. Yelena Belova is a lot more interesting than how the concept of "new Black Widow with blonde hair and midriff" sounds, and would do a very easy job of defining Black Widow through contrast.

I hope they finally end up making Queen and Country with Ellen Page. It seemed like the reason why Mystique gained the support of the filmmakers was Jennifer Lawrence's credibility as Katniss, and I think Kitty Pryde could get the same treatment if Ellen Page did well in an action movie of her own.

Well, Black Widow has had the misfortune of not having her whole schtick explained in the movie universe, and it seems it won't be until Avengers 2, while almost every other character got their movie and all of their own little deals well explained to audiences.

Black Widow's character arc was really well done in this movie, which makes it a shame that they cut out a couple scenes that punctuated it a little better (even if one of them was at Johansson's request).

Well, the author wrote the preliminary screenplays for the movie adaptation, but he was ultimately not super happy with the changes in the final product. Since an EP has a lot more control over a TV series than a first-draft screenwriter does over a blockbuster movie, I'm guessing he's more comfortable with the

I'm talking about what Azzarello did with making Hephaestus's minions the male children of Paradise Island who would have been murdered if not for the fact Hephaestus bought them as slaves.

Wonder Woman was my favorite New 52 book at a lot of points during its run, but I gotta say, thematically, it felt untrue to the ~core tenets~ of what I think Wonder Woman should be. It felt like Azzarello either paid empty lip service to Diana being compassionate, or that Diana's compassion only worked against her.
