Hell, go back to the 1963-era badge. It was good enough for the era of the BMW boxy sedan and the original M3/M5/M6/750i/850i glory-years.

Dammit. Nobody needs another fucking SUV option. VW needs to build a station wagon.

The LEAF is still a solid buy (mostly because you expect it to be down-market compared to a Tesla Model 3 and there is no CVT), but I’ve been otherwise avoiding Nissan like the plague for years.

Take your goddamn star, you magnificent bastard.

Oh, good. It’s a 3-button security code. There’s absolutely no way anyone can hack that and steal your car...

Another good album. My favorites off that album are “To Be Myself Completely” and “Act of the Apostle / Act of the Apostle II”

Perhaps my favorite Belle & Sebastian album, and a fantastic cut off the album. Thanks!

Hey, Elon,

Very good article - I’m wondering if it is technically feasible to retrofit R744 refrigerant into an R134-based system (although if it isn’t leaking, I suppose draining it would cause more of a problem)?

I’m about the same age as you - also saw it multiple times in 1977-78 (my local movie theater was Westgate Cinemas which ran Star Wars for 500 some-odd days). Star Wars was huge in 77-8, and then died down a bit, then was huge in 80-1, and 83. Then the whole Star Wars phenomena faded out by-an-large until the prequels.

The applications where hydrogen make sense is an extremely small niche beyond niche.

Not to mention CNG production has a huge impact on greenhouse gas emissions (since CNG is in itself a greenhouse gas).
