5-door 412 wagon would have been fantastic - I’ll bet my dad would have traded in his Type III wagon for one. Unfortunately, this was at the death-knell of the air-cooled VW motor (at least in BRD), so it was not to be.

Kids (and all the murder associated with car seats) was what resulted in my E30 325iS getting sold. Now that my kids are reaching driving age, I’ve got a 1-series coupe (although now my son is trying to mooch it away from me - over my dead body).

I can back this, as I still rock a ZuneHD because I’m old. Having the ability to plug in simply via an analog connection is super-handy, but it’s becoming harder and harder to find as cars move to Bluetooth or USB inputs.

You know what I’d want to see even more? A USB input standard for car entertainment systems which…
