I'm so invested in the show now that I find it pretty easy to restrain myself. It would ruin things for me. I recently started reading the books with the goal of being caught up to (and past) the series before next season starts. But then I came to the conclusion that I'd rather see how it plays out in the series

Yeah, I mentioned that in an earlier comment - the way they keep mentioning his wound in passing makes me think he's going to die from some type of infection. That would really suck.

In a way, it would be cool if the Mountain lived and the Hound gets to kill him at some later date. Which will never happen, of course, because that would make me happy.

I had to upvote this comment simply for the "spinning dickery".

The way they keep mentioning it in passing, I'm starting to become concerned that the Hound might die from that infected bite wound. He's become one of my favorite characters, so I'm sure he'll die at some point. I just hope it's not in that way.

So does anyone think there's even the remotest chance that Tyrion is somehow saved from execution? Also, regarding Oberyn's death, as soon as it looked like the Mountain was defeated and Oberyn kept getting cockier, I had a bad feeling that something like that was going to happen.
