Yeah, Supper Club is stupid, especially if its creation axed like 40 shows from the TV Club roster. It'll generate good ad revenue, probably because I'm assuming that the majority of these pieces are sponsored, but it's not what AVC is known for and it's absolutely not what AVC does best.

Of course not! What is this, M*A*S*H*?

Done with Supper Club. If you guys wanted good advertising dollars, you've certainly found the right venue for it. I remember the first article on the section that declared McDonald's fries as the best fast food item under a dollar. I'm fine with sponsored content, but make it known that the content is sponsored.

I'm really happy that they might be giving her some character growth and shedding her sexless nerd stereotype, however briefly. Maybe like Haley and Andy we'll have this long romance where at the end of the storyline, she just goes back to being a sexless loser nerd.

I got into an argument about this the other week, on how Cam and Mitch are fundamentally incompatible, but the argument against me was "you don't understand relationships well enough" and "you must be single" because I don't believe that being petty to your partner consistently for 8 years is a healthy relationship

I like how I responded to you and your reaction, rather than discussing or rebuking what I said, was to flag the reply as spam. Classy.

That's fine. Abortion should be a state issue. Roe v Wade fundamentally doesn't actually make sense. It's predicated on the idea that a woman has a right to an abortion because she has the right to medical privacy. I'm fine with allowing abortion, because in Canada we've made a law that essentially states that the

Right, because every conservative is a Nazi and Trump is literally Hitler and America is now Nazi Germany. Fuck, AV Club, you guys can be so hyperbolic over nothing.

I think she's going to have the opposite reaction. I think she's going to realize that being intellectually superior to your customers is the worst and that being a punching bag to your family because you're smart has been a recurring theme in her life and that she needs to get the fuck out. I think she might transfer

I like how this got a B- almost exclusively on the Alex/Claire subplot, but I know it's probably going to amount to nothing unless she meets a boyfriend working as a barista. Either I'm wrong and they're finally getting rid of her status as the sexless nerd stereotype and leaning into the fact that Ariel Winter is

I think it is, based on the demographic it's aimed at. Kids don't really appreciate cliffhanger episodes or multiple episode arcs, which is chiefly why Disney isn't doing that. I can't really think of shows aimed at 8-14 demographic that really did multi-episode arcs other than some older 90s cartoons, like X-men.

Well, now that they've re-introduced Thrawn as canon, maybe they'll throw in some more ideas from the trilogy. Battle meditation is a really cool Force power, and maybe they're building up to revealing it over the course of the series.

It's been a KOTOR thing since it was basically the driving force of half of the first game. You had to go rescue Bastila Shan because battle meditation was so important to the Republic that losing her would cause incalculable losses to their combat endeavors. It might have been a thing in the EU at large, but I

I enjoyed the action beats in this episode, most of the jetpack fight I kept wondering if they were going to make the KOTOR ability battle meditation canon again, in the sense that Ezra improves the luck and combat abilities of his cohorts through the Force without realizing it. It felt like there are generally a lot

3. I think we saw staff interacting with William when a guy dressed up came asking Dolores if she was lost, and then he left when William said she was accompanying him. Maybe the subtitles or end credits for that guy will prove me wrong on this, but I thought he was a QA guy coming to organically see why Dolores was

At first I thought you were being a little randomly confrontational, but after looking into that guy's post history he seems like kind of a dick.

1) You're right on this point, if only because it'll add more substance to the characters.

I don't think he's gay, though. What are the chances of Jay raising two gay sons? Also, I don't think there's much comedic or dramatic value to be gained by making him gay. He's always been attracted to women, and it may be a byproduct of bad acting, but I've always believed whenever he changed himself for a woman it

So, Manny's costume, however obscure, totally fits his earlier Communist persona, since Trumbo was persecuted as a Commie, and when he was applying to Julliard, he said he wanted to be a screenwriter. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but his costume made a lot of sense given information from this season alone.
