I agree it’s like 99% nostalgia, but I’m thinking back and it was also the first shooter I can remember that worked reasonably well with a controller as opposed to keyboard+mouse.  So that’s something it brought to the table.

I think it depends what the control options and framerate on the switch version are. If they haven’t at least updated it so the “two n64 controllers for dual analog” control settings will work on the switch then it’s going to be unplayable for a lot of people.

Oh well. What can they really improve on with a new game? And why waste the money developing it when 8 is still one of the best selling games every month?

stanley was great, and really wouldn’t have worked at all without the narration -- the entire game is built around it, mechanically. bastion, i didn’t like as much but i def am an outlier on that
