In a number of categories, a lot more men than women have participated in certain hetrosexual activities, begging the question, who are they having that sex with?

The table in the article is the “did it in the past year” stats. The numbers I pulled out below are the “past month” ones.

I have a past that involves serving short stints in York female prison located in CT. And many of the repeat offenders are from the tri-state area(including the NYC area). Based of chats with other inmates, “guard on female inmate” sex assault occurs in all prisons.

Wow. I’m not sure if I have the words for how vile this is. They had a captive population from which to select their victims from and were very calculated in who they chose to rape.

This is fucking sickening. Fuck these guys. I don’t even know what else to say. I hope these assholes all go to prison for a long time, and while they’re there they get treated the way rapists and sexual abusers should be treated in prison.

Don’t know if it makes a difference to what you’re saying but it’s not usually that an outside guest makes the *only* speech. There’s typically multiple speeches, from students and faculty, and then sometimes a guest speaker. Sometimes it’s an alum but then sometimes it’s just a rando.

Just because it was more restrained doesn’t mean it wasn’t effective. You can’t fail to notice a hundred people walking out as you’re speaking.

Really don’t get why US universities get some outsider to do the speech. Even if it was someone I liked or admired doing it, such as a notable scientist in my field like Sir Tim Berners-Lee or John Carmack, I’d rather have one of my lecturers or the Vice-Chancellor do it.
