My first thought on this was isn’t this illegal. I feel like growing up lots of kids sat through the pledge for religious reasons and no one batted an eye.

They take money that could and should be allocated to lower income neighborhoods where POCs live. So basically Black and Brown people are paying taxes so the police to torture them and pretend like nothing happened.
