They didn't film it on iPhones in order to sell it better, although it may have incidentally worked out that way.

No it didn't make anything clear.

Scorsese for sure.

Yeah I think I'm on the same page. By the end of the season the writers are really bending over backwards to come up with a reason that Kilgrave gets away AGAIN.

I love This Must Be The Place but I had a mixed reaction to Youth. It seemed like 2 movies awkwardly mashed into one, a comedy set at a Swiss resort and a somber reflection on an old composer's life.

Not that what he did actually do wasn't awful but Mark Wahlberg did not throw acid into anyone's face.

Did you see all of The Comedy? Because there is at least one or two moments where the main character's humanity comes through.

The way I interpreted that scene was that their whole interaction up to that point had been a performance. When she starts seizing it becomes a real moment and if he was going to help her he would have to abandon the performance which he can't bring himself to do.

But it is great.

I guarantee you everyone is reimbursed for any money they might spend.

I don't see it. People who go on that show know what they're signing up for, they're not desperate.

What is the joke on Survivor?

The joke is not that the bodybuilder was stupid, it was that he was willing to go on TV and tell ridiculous lies about himself and the product he was peddling in order to get money and recognition.

That's awesome to hear. I read the leaked script when it came out and I thought he was the most interesting character but the ending let him down a little. I was glad to hear Tarantino was re-writing it.

Can't remember the name of the site but it was a poker forum that he frequented. I remember finding a link to it a while back and at the beginning before Albini was inundated with questions his answers were very articulate and informative.

I really like Before You Were Funny.

Are you also against kissing in movies? That's usually real too you know.

If violence is fake it's because they don't want to hurt the actors. Sex isn't hurting them. Also there are some exceptions, for example Jon Bernthal punch Jonah Hill for real in Wolf of Wall Street.

You don't NEED to show violence to represent it but sometimes it's more impactful. Why is the fact that something isn't always necessary make it the wrong choice?
