Yeah, as someone who works for a University, this isn't too bad. As some other posters have mentioned, these athletes are 17-19 years old when they start college. I've had parents call trying to get transcripts/diploma/etc for their 26 year old "children" who are in PhD programs.

I was there in the 90s; nothing worse as a sports fan than watching the best DII team go to the worst in one four year college education.

This is my undergraduate alma mater (really), and I can tell you from many awful games in that stadium (yes the stands always look that empty) that this is one of the most extraordinary things ever to happen there. Outside of, I suppose, the playoff games to the two DII national championships in the 90s.

I WATCHED UNTIL THE END AND TOTALLY DID NOT EXPECT THE UNC SOFTBALL ALUMNI TO BE THERE!

Aw, no love for Stanislaw Lem...?

It's as if he doesn't even want to talk to the press.

Why is anyone surprised? She has a track record.

She was forced to cut them because there were too many volunteers.

It's easy to be surprised by Rodgers' decision there, but what else are you gonna do against a fake defense?

to be fair, some do, but not the same people who are slamming Dunham for her statements.

Holy shit.

My abusive then-girlfriend (I'm a woman) was a month away from moving in with me when she told me that she was having "feelings" for someone else, a friend of hers. She said nothing had happened, but she was now doubting our relationship. Cue a month-long hellish ordeal where we break up, get back together, break up,

My freshman year of college, I made the mistake of dating a very serious born-again Christian. (I was raised both Catholic and Unitarian Universalist, I'm not sure what he was doing in the relationship either.)

this is the best thing to happen today.

Before. I wanted more. Lots more. Like regular more. All the time more. Ride him like a show pony at the circus more.

I once played rugby with giant men to impress a guy in college who said he thought it was hot when girls were "tiny but tough." Promptly dislocated my right shoulder and broke my left collarbone, and a rib. Insisted I was fine, even though I couldn't move. Drank a lot, so I could claim the passing out was from the
