What's astonishing about Romney admitting he'll try and undo Trump is that he's implicitly admitting democracy does not always work.

Since the end of January through the rest of this month there's been either a debate or an election. This whole primary has been a literal cable drama, with an episode each week for two to three months.

There were some halfway decent arguments made from the candidates tonight about how Trump is a walking moral atrocity, all of which were outdone when they agreed to vote for him.

So much of this election cycle has been obsessed with how Trump is awful- and he is- that the fact that Ted Cruz is a villainous sociopath is getting ignored. In the last debate he got angry at Trump not because of racism or sexism but because Trump argued against letting people die in the streets from lack of health

I'd say "only King" but I feel like George R. R. Martin could get a scene like that in there if he tried.

Bruce is my favorite singer/songwriter. I don't listen to him all the time, I take months breaks between binge listening, and each time I go back I become more and more enthralled with him.

I forgot about that.

I actually know how the series ends and think it's sorta brilliant, but I can't speak to the execution which could well ruin it.

I read the book a long time ago, back when I was a senior in high school so I should probably re-read it anyway. I just remember finding it over the top and repetitive. Didn't he stick a gun in a woman's vagina at one point?

I'm a huge fan of King, but I read The Gunslinger and it did nothing for me so I've never actually read this series despite having read most everything else he's written. Should I go on? Does it change from The Gunslinger?

Fuck, yeah, I love being smug.

Really? I think Ed O'Neill nails every emotional moment he's given. I've mentioned it in MF discussions before, but one of the best moments of the series is when he says, "I know I'm not Manny's real dad. But sometimes I don't want to be reminded."

I watched it recently for the first time and was really impressed by that. Great movie all around.

It's like watching a train crash through a series of cars while somehow not slowing down.

I'm with you in regards to this film. I saw the trailer for it not long ago and I was like, "Oh. That. That does not look like a film that should've been made."

"I have a medical background in hard science…"

I've never watched Millennium but hear such great things about the second season. How confusing would it be to just watch that season?

I figure there's a good chance he's in the ship or telepathically controlling it.

I've been reading Carter's post-My Struggle II interviews and it's interesting that he notes he's been reading reviews. I'm curious if that will change anything.

I liked how disgusting he looked in the bed. It was a great image in an episode that lacked them.
