August is the "silly season" in news media. Parliament is on holiday and so there is less real news so we end up with this.

How did you miss Friends in the UK? It was huge here.

Despite never really liking the show, I have nothing but praise for the Monica/Chandler relationship arc. They were probably the best written sitcom couples of all time.

The best thing about being unemployed was Frasier on Channel 4 every morning. And when it was on with King of Queens and Third Rock From the Sun, it was blissful. Double or triple bills of those was the perfect way to start a full day of achieving nothing.

On the beaches on Dunkirk, unit cohesion was pretty much gone.
