The huge necropolis at Saqqara contains a number of tombs filled with literally hundreds of thousands of mummified animals including ibises and baboons. What’s interesting is that the tombs are *much* older than the mummies; so the theory is that monuments from the 3rd Dynasty were repurposed much later in Egyptian

That guy looks kinda familiar, but the toothpick....

Sam, I’m beginning to doubt your commitment to SparkleMotion.

Sure, but Ben deserves more high profile work.  And I can totally see him as Peter’s Dad and going all mental on him.  (I was not a huge fan of Kurt Russell in the role.)

The scene where Zuko finally returns to Iroh is basically like having an onion chopped up in your SOUL.

Thanks for specifying which Björk. If you hadn’t included her last name, I would’ve assumed it was Björk Jones or Björk Ferguson.

It makes sense in that setting, but to an international audience I think she’s universally known by her first name.

Since when does anyone use Bjork’s full name? Even the tweet referenced just says “Bjork” and shows a photo that says “Bjork”.

Wilde is a great director. She’s also a great actor, but I suppose it’s too much to hope she’ll be directing herself as Jessica Drew?

Any Farscape fan would have had to be blind to not recognize the Farscape DNA in GotG. It’s not a copy or a ripoff, but it is undoubtedly influenced by (and as you mention, James Gunn fully admits it.)

...a movie that should be in prison for its criminal misuse of Oscar Isaac.

Korra is much more developed as a character than Aang ever was. The first season of Avatar is really drawn out. Season 2 is really drawn out. season 3 is the only one that had a real sense of pacing.

I just binged the series again. When viewed back to back Korra’s journey is absolutely harrowing. She is immature in the beginning, leading many to dislike her and the series, but she really does mature as the series carries on. Bolin comes off as cringey sometimes though, especially in our current movement. And can

#4: Zhu-Li. DO THE THING!

I think your point works to a degree, in that a lot of plot elements in the first two seasons seem kind of tacked on or poorly explained. The first season, in my opinion, spends way too much time on pro-bending (even though I like the idea of pro-bending) and the Mako/Asami/Korra triangle and not enough time

I think the fact that the creators didn’t know how much story they were going to get to tell is when leads to the inconsistencies in the first 2 seasons and ends up as the main reason why season 3 and 4 are overall the best in the series. I think had they had planned all 4 in one go they may have shuffled the bad guys

As many have said I think A:TLA is the more consistent show, but I end up coming back and re-watching LoK more. It’s a tighter show, I feel, with more fleshed out characters. This is especially true in the case of the villains, which were much more nuanced than any villain from A:TLA.

Korra is a great show. LAB is fun and lighthearted. There are a couple tear jerker episodes, and a few darker episodes that deal with real world type issues, but other than those, it’s a fun kid show (that is enjoyable for adults). The evil characters are one dimensional and the issues Aang faces are so cliche as to

They should make a Snoopy cornballer.
