Oh yes. And it tasted like a cardboard knock-off of Cap’n Crunch. It was no bueno, but I still ate it as a kid because I was obsessed with the Gremlins.

Yeah I saw Orca on HBO when I was a wee lad and those two things stuck with me pretty firmly. That, and the dangers of building a house over any body of water.
Dude, I totally agree! To all of those statements! Since numerology seems to be a factor that is expounded throughout having the series be 33 episodes would have been PERFECT!
The way the series is going to be complete with three seasons, and the prevalence of the number three so far in the story (past, present, future; child, adult, elderly, the space of 33 years; the 3 branches of the trinity symbol from “The Emerald Tablet”, etc.) seems absolutely perfect.
Ben Browder’s story about meeting James Gunn is pretty hilarious too. When James told Ben that he was a huge Farscape fan after the first GOTG movie came out out, Ben told him, “Yeah, I know bro. I saw your movie.” Ha ha! Classic Browder!
Just out of curiosity, but does anyone know why some anime titles are just rōmaji instead of english translations on a lot of these streaming sites? A lot of times I will scan through Crunchyroll and just pass by a lot of titles because I have little to no idea what the show may be about because the thumbnails don’t…
Speaking of “Send More Paramedics”, have you ever listened to the band named after that scene?
Did you ever read the comics from back in the day? What you described in your last paragraph pretty much sums up what they did with that series where they were all standalone stories from different perspectives, times, dimensions, etc.
The USA Network also brought cartoons out of Saturday mornings with the USA Cartoon Express. I remember when we got one of those old massive satellite tv dishes due to the fact that our TV antennae kept getting hit by lightning and blowing up our sets. By the way made a young sci-fi nerd’s heart burst with joy (TV,…
Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn!
The second season goes even deeper down the rabbit hole, though I would not hesitate on watching the second season.
You should check him out in the film “Possession.” One of his best early roles and features some of his best freak outs ever.
I am quite surprised that there has been little coverage of this show on this site. It is a brilliant piece of television worthy of review in my opinion.
You will not be disappointed!
Holy shit. This is goddamn ridiculous. I... I kind of love it and hate it as the same time!
Ditto!
PREEEEEEEEACH!! I have had these same thoughts for years! One slice to a fleshy creature and insta-cut. Is stormtrooper armor saber-proof? Nope. Yoda proved that on Kashyyyk.
I felt the exact same when I first saw this show! I was getting some real strong “Community” vibes off of it, and I thought to myself, “what are the odds NBC will treat it in the same fashion by killing it off too soon?”
OH SNAP! David Mitchell! I love that dude’s work! I need to check out this series!
