Not too much work, my handwriting is atrocious, I am motivated by neatness, hence the use of stamps.

I skip supper, I also find a cold bedroom (70f or less, 65 is even better, though at that point it tends to be rather uncomfortable unless I use an electric blanket) to be helpful, even if I have to sleep with a hat and a warm blanket, it helps prevent reawakening during the night. Also, some monotonous sounds help,

I have seen the rubber stamp that produces that to do template on the picture. I wish I could find one that has numbers (or rather times) instead of checkboxes, to make my own schedule template on a small Moleskine journal.

From the source: "Just to be clear—I am not declaring a vow of poverty. In fact, I believe that for many people, controlling how you spend your time is the kind of success that they can only achieve after they have earned enough money that they no longer have to worry about paying their bills."

If that is all anyone needs, then it doesn't need to be Office compatible at all, any program from any OS would do. Most decent programs in any OS can import/export in simple formats that Office understands, as long as the formatting is not too complex.

My primary use of Excel, and much of my use of Word, is creating documents from preformatted templates, meaning that control of the formatting and compatibility is extremely important to me. Last time I tried Open Office it was a no go from that point of view alone.

But when you eat has everything to do with your caloric expenditures. Calories taken near bed time are basically guaranteed to just be stored as far.

Try skipping supper. It is impossible to have an appetite for breakfast if you eat a late and/or heavy supper every evening. You will feel more tired at night if you skip supper, which you should because you should be winding down for bed, not up for a party or something.

Recently I checked my credit score, and was surprised to find no debt showing, which surprised me since I have quite old defaulted student loans which I have not been able to pay off due to life circumstances and hardships.

Thanks for validating the only approach that ever worked for me! Strict one room decluttering always drove me crazy, I always end up rearranging the mess into different, neater piles, instead of actually dealing with the mess, unless I already know what to do with a category in my mind ahead of time.

Recharging the batteries on your electronic devices is productivity. So is sleeping and resting. It just depends on how you look at it.

If you really believe that, then either you don't have a relationship with anyone, or you don't realize that relationships need to be scheduled, just like everything else, or they will fall by the wayside. A "product" is anything you consider valuable, it is not always tangible.

"I have found this to be very valid advice in a small subset of situations".

As another professional musician graduated from a top conservatory, I totally agree. One of the best ways to spoil the enjoyment out of a wonderful activity, is to make it your career. You can enjoy it more thoroughly than the uneducated amateur, but as a professional it is very difficult to look at it as a relaxing

Do what successful, type A people do. Very bad suggestion for someone who is the opposite of type A.

Not sure if it has been mentioned already (153 replies and counting), but for me the worst piece of advice ever would have to be, acting, moving on things, anything, is much more important than planning ahead. Careful planning doesn't mean anything without action to back it up, and action without careful thinking is

My Vitamix 5200 is way overkill for my needs, but like others, I destroyed several blenders trying to blend food, until finally I succumbed to Vitamix, which takes care of things like a champ.

A well known Palm software developer who frequented USENET forums liked to insult anyone who did not reveal their real names, on USENET of all places!! I haven't been to USENET in a while, so I don't know if he is still there. I am just glad I no longer use his software

Avast antivirus doesn't like Dashnotes much, something about a pupudate plugin included, poor reputation, malware type behavior or something. I removed it from one browser, still trying to decide whether to remove it from the other browser. The fact that it updates images online every single time is rather troubling
