His dad?

I was confused a bit myself, but Varney the Vampyre was about 50 years old by the time this is set, so the idea of Vampires is not as uncommon as I had thought.

At least coming from Malcolm. Maybe Katenay could have managed to pull it off.

When will we see Laurel and Hardy?

To be fair, we never got around to dessert, so as far as we know, she can't conjure water there, either.

Huh. I was just thinking that it'd be interesting for the Time Traveler to make an appearance. If that's the case, I'm a lot more interested in the character.

Or to have picked up some modern attitudes and returned back home again. A woman who has popped off in the 60s/70s at the height of Women's Lib would probably change her mindset when she returns to the Victorian era.

Perhaps, though I thought it was more about his caring for his position, and not wanting Justine to take it from him.

Don't we see another nightcomer just get killed with a plain old bullet in the assault on Madame Poole's mansion?

Oh, also on the subject of posing, how about how Ethan's dad just happens to wind up draped across the altar, arms outspread in a crucifixion-like pose?

I thought it was more like "We're exactly the same."

Which does not necessarily mean that they'll find peace.

Have you tried?

Because blood has metaphysical importance that other bodily fluids lack. Or at least, have different ones.

Man, this show is great at making feel at least some sympathy for characters I otherwise hated. First Caliban, and now to some extent (in that I no longer hate watching him on screen) Dorian.

Yeah, think of all the problems a black Doctor would have traveling back to an older time period. I mean, he blends in so well otherwise, it'd ruin the whole show.

Speaking of calling things, did that gun Archer threw onto the top of the building last episode get used? I've yet to see the show.

Called it!

Wait, already?

So what's with the title? Because I've been past, though not to, that particular Roy Rogers. Or at least, the only one in Franconia now. No clue what it was like in the 80s.
