The ‘19 V60 starts at at $38,900. If the CC is $2k more, it’ll be $40,900. That’s a full $7k cheaper than a A4 Allroad.

You’ll be hard pressed to find one under $50k with decent options, though. Nationwide, there’s 19 on Auto Trader and 4 are under $50k. I looked hard for an A4 Allroad a few months ago, with the intent of leasing or buying, and I found one for $52k that they were willing to drop down to $47k, which still left it out of

That Nasa-esque font on the tank of the Earle is a great touch. More people should use that font.

It’s perfectly normal to put a control joint there. It allows the joint to contract and expand freely and probably also reduces vibration on the column. Steel isn’t supposed to crack like that; this looks more like a material failure due to lack of maintenance than design.

I’d like for the BRZ successor to be a WRX hatchback. Am I doing this right?

I believe the Navy officially gave the ship to Norfolk in 2009

Good God man, have your editors left for the weekend already?

2.5mm, 5mm... who gives a shit

Good thing the battery is covered for 8 years/100k miles, so your bank account won’t feel a thing after 2 years.

Regarding the third question... I was thinking the best idea would be to sell the car, use the cash to pay down the principal then refinance the loan as a debt reduction loan, but that could potentially jack up your interest rate as you’d no longer have collateral.

Pretty sure the bank can only require you to carry state minimum and they don’t care about your deductible, since they wouldn’t pay it - you would. This is actually a good idea, as upping your deductible to like $2k can save you a LOT of money.

Right?! So there’s one verified case so far, and GM might have to recall 100 cars out of 2,000, which is effectively 5%. Sure, that’s a lot. And it’s a pain. And it’s more than Tesla. But that’s nothing compared to other recalls; Ford recently recalled something like 96% of Focus’ built between ‘12 and ‘18 for a

Ballaban’s logic is the same logic as 16-year old wannabe racers with 10 year old Honda’s, but with a significantly larger budget. It’s still bad logic.

Yet again people in SoCal royally fuck something up when it rains. I’m offering my services as Precipitation Consultant.

Came here to post about Tesla. Their pricing is horrible - I understand adding the EV tax incentive, because that is genuine discount, but the whole reducing the price by your average gas savings is a fucking scam.

My favorite was at a Lexus dealership, when they told us every car they get they equip with a special flashing brake light and protective paint cover, both of which add $1,700 to the price. I asked if those could be removed or if I can order a car without. They said no. I left.

Ditto, I love mine. The problem with it ‘always being in the shop’ (actually in there now, for the first time, for a power seat issue) is that Alfa mechanics are few and far between. When I dropped mine off, they told me it would be a week or more because there was a Quad already in there for a full engine

Counterpoint: Let’s NOT call it a hatchback for fear of ruining the hatchback category. Car manufacturers are trying to convince us we need bigger and bigger cars; call the Macan a hatch and pretty soon CUVs will be hatches and we’ll no longer have true hatches. It’s a small CUV, like an X2 or a Q3. Subaru is already

You’re an angry elf. We have an Alfa and a Volvo - the Volvo is touchscreen everything, the Alfa has a screen but the infotainment is more like BMW, where you have a wheel that selects and clicks, HVAC controls and seat heater are buttons. So I’ve got it both ways.

I remember the first time, but it was relatively uneventful. My favorite drive with my Dad when I still had my learner’s permit was in my freaking awesome ‘88 Toyota Camry (that subsequently died before I got my license). I was pulling out of a parking lot and rolling (hand cranks FTW) up my window after inserting my
