They do... It’s called the Golf R and it costs $40k

First gen, from the outside, the only difference between Mazda 3 and the MS3 is the very, very slightly larger and functional spoiler, wheels and the badging. That’s why I love my MS3.

YES. I got excited about the prospects of a SkyActiv-G 2.5, but alas it only puts out ~185 HP. Call me when we’re in WRX territory.

It’s becoming necessary. At least on the West Coast, at most mountain passes and resorts (i.e. Mt. Hood, Tahoe, Baker, etc.) you’re required to have AWD with traction tires, or you have to chain up if you’re running FWD/RWD, regardless of tire selection. There’s no way in hell I’m chaining up every damn time I want to

Say it isn’t so!

Sorry, what I should have said was ‘Without the Halo, Hulkenberg would be basically resting a minimum distance of 70mm from the asphalt.’

Same people. Same jokes. Same situations. I think I’m finally over it fucking stoked.

Whiting said, as quoted by Autosport, that Hulkenberg actually had more room inside of the car after the crash with the halo over it...

KBB trade-in value is actually a hell of a lot higher than I would have assumed. They usually lowball the shit out of performance cars and trim levels.

David Logic: Buys shitty, rusted 4x4 Jeep, doesn’t drive it in Michigan because salt will make it rusty.

The ‘Carry Chains or Traction Tires’ signs are not what I’m talking about - those have been around for decades and nobody ever checks. They’ve started posting reader boards that say “4x4 with traction tires or chains required” (it’s ambiguous, but I’ve been told it means 4x4 with traction tires, full stop. Otherwise

+The Dark Knight when Harvey Dent’s transport gets re-routed by the burning fire truck and Joker ambushes them with an 18-wheeler

The DOTs (at least on the west coast) are not helping this matter. When driving to the mountain, they now require AWD/4WD with traction tires OR chains. I.e. you can’t drive anything that’s FWD or RWD without chains, even if you’re running studs or blizzaks. So everybody runs out and buys an AWD CUV, slaps all-weather

Alcantara and leather seats? Whyyyy? All-leather seats are so much better.

Ugh, getting passed by cyclists as I creep over the Broadway is my ultimate pet peeve. I keep telling myself I’ll bike when it’s no longer winter...

Ha. I have two black labs. My gut feeling is the Stinger is just too small, which is a damn shame.

Yes. There’s nothing wrong with the black square. Stop trying to hide it.

Loooove the Stinger, but I wish it was more hatch-y. What’s the rear cargo space like? If I removed the shelf, would a large (70#) dog fit back there with the backseats up?

Yep. Even at $1/day for electricity, that’s an extra $30/month. Not to mention the fact that unless you have a dedicated, 30A 240V circuit, it takes 7 hours to trickle charge off a standard 120V household plug AND you’d need either a driveway with extension cord or a garage (a luxury a lot of Europeans don’t have).

It’s because they’re company cars. Companies also provide gas cards. Company gas = free. Private electricity = money. Why bother ever plugging it in?
