Today I was talking about the consequences of this election with my husband, who doesn’t follow politics as closely as I do, and he asked me to evaluate how likely it is that our marriage would get taken away because of this.

There’s still cause for hope. Right now hundreds of people are marching in protest in Austin. That gives me hope for our future. Today is bleak, but I think the young voters watching today are learning a valuable lesson.

Although curiously, gay folks were the least persecuted during this election campaign cycle then they have been for 25 years.

Nah, most of them don’t give a fuck about Hillary Clinton. They don’t particularly care for Donald Trump, either, but they do care about abortion and are never going to vote for a pro-choice candidate.

At this point, I don’t think so. Dems lost in 2000, didn’t learn in 2004. The DNC hadn’t learned by 2008, Obama had to go around the party and upend it to get the nomination. That’s why Democrats lost again in 2016. They haven’t learned anything.

So you blame people who actively fought against this, took time out of their very busy daily lives to get involved in the election some way or another, helped shuttle (Democratic, in my case) voters to the polls, and refused to accept what we were told without fully researching the topic(s) at hand first?
