I will pray he will be okay.

I am PRAYING to every deity, divinity, spirit, etc. I can think of that this is just better reporting and soon to be followed by the murder rate dropping.

I would advise enrolling him in a martial art that focuses on nonviolent takedowns. Holds and the like.

Hmm. Good point.

Why can’t it be how the main election functions? The reasons for having an Electoral College are long illegitimate.

Agreed, wholeheartedly. That’s why I brought it up.

I dunno. Talk to the Native Americans who were victims of his genocide attempt about it. I think you’ll find they have a very different viewpoint from your last sentence.

Andrew Jackson was sworn into office in 1829. That’s the only name I mentioned in connection with the “historical mistakes” part.

Yes. Because the system doesn’t reflect the will of the people.

That’s one of the reasons. It also was intended to keep Congress and political manipulation from affecting the Presidency directly. Believe it or not, but they didn’t actually want Senators and Representatives running for President.

It also means the majority of voters don’t matter if they’re not a large enough majority. Thus, the issue with the Electoral system.

It doesn’t mean Trump can’t declare a mandate to rule at his whims. He not only won the Presidency, but his party won Congress. Even if we look at him losing the popular vote as a hindrance, we have to accept the fact the American public handed him a second branch of our government on a silver platter.

And yet, people still seem to think that winning the popular vote actually means something.

Sadly, that’s not how the President race works.

Tell the kids “Sometimes, Americans make mistakes.” Then use it as a teaching moment about some historical mistakes that were worse (looking at you, Jackson) so they know things will turn out okay.

“She was the most influential person IN the party.”

Yep. Get ready to hear how hard or soft it was and how much corn was in it.

The part that makes me wonder: Why are they using the armors from Mass Effect?

It doesn’t help that, prior to World War 2 (and even during part of it), Hitler was pretty popular in the U.S. A lot of Americans thought he had the right idea.

I imagine he’ll take his cues on press conferences from the French Revolution’s guide to treatment of royalty.
