Despite what MRAs and regular men claim, marriage benefits men, not women. All of the stats confirm this. Married men report greater levels of happiness than singles, and it’s the reverse for women. Married men live longer than unmarried men, the reverse for women. When a man and woman cohabitate, generally she takes

That’s great, but what about when it’s the dude who loses interest? Booze has the disastrously opposite effect than that intended :(

The racists complain as if for the last however many decades of TV, when a POC died, it likely wasn’t gonna get national TV coverage unless they were wealthy, a young girl, or unless it was a slow day. Meanwhile, lily-white folks’ deaths were often televised, especially if they pretty and female.

The coverage has

I live in Indianapolis and the entire city has been shocked by this. And everyone, from Amanda’s husband, her neighbors, the police, and members of the African American community, along with the Ten Point Coalition, a group of AA ministers working with the police to better relations in that community, have been

The husband just released this statement. I’m just about in tears because he seems so genuinely NICE and in love with her:

Bradford called Fogle’s pedophilia “mild pedophilia.”

Step #1: Get drunk.

I’m in the middle of that now. My hair is long (just past shoulder length) and I’m being told it’s unprofessional. But since I have very curly hair, I can’t cut it short without looking like a demented bichon. There is no winning with people.

I got a blow out before an interview recently in the hopes I’d appear more professional. I have very curly hair. It’s crazy that I even thought I needed to do it but the truth is people equate curly hair to crazy, unprofessional or unkempt.

You mean negative value? Someone recently pointed out to me that in the majority of teen make-over movies the protagonist starts out with frizzy, curly hair, and then when she’s made over it’s stick straight. SO WEIRD.

True story - my mom and grandma have curly hair. My grandma had always gotten shit at jobs for her hair. When she finally got a union job, she wore a straight wig for her entire probationary period (a few months?) ad then the day after her probation was up, she wore her real hair to work and they couldn't say a damn

I’m so tired of my curly hair not being “nice” or “professional” enough. It’s so ridiculous that curly hair has some kind of weird value attached to it.

We wouldn’t be having so much trouble with ignorant fucks thinking those fake Planned Parenthood videos are somehow real if education weren’t so severely gimped.

So basically white *poor* Americans, which is hardly surprising. Impoverished people are consistently a class of Americans who get left behind on medical and mental health care, including whites.

Just turned 45. Is my advanced degree going to save me?!?

So to dig into the theology a little, that line in the Bible also says the husband’s body belongs to his wife. There’s nothing in that verse that suggests women don’t have equal say when it comes to what they do with their bodies together.

It’s almost as if someone or some document urges them to adopt a morality of a bronze-age, tribal society.

Seeing things like this reminds me that I have had very limited experience w weird predatory internet behavior and for that I am forever thankful.

You just ignored what everyone else had to say about lack of skills, time, and energy, didn’t you? There’s also something the poor face that you and your white collar wife don’t: decision fatigue.

Healthy food goes bad fairly quickly. If time/transportation is a factor it’s damn near impossible to keep fresh fruit/veggies even if you can afford them.
