Yeah, at first I just tuned in for Jillian and Stephen Root, but Newhouse quickly made an impression (once again thanks to the “Funeral” episode, I am giggling to myself just thinking of how shit-faced Billie got and all their slo-mo walking sequences).

I have been crushing on Jillian since Workaholics. I can’t believe the overview didn’t mention her TV series Idiotsitter, since she co-created it and starred in it. The first two episodes were pretty funny, but the third episode “Funeral” was one of funniest things I had seen in years. I am still bummed Comedy Central

Idiotsitter is worth watching, although right now its only available to stream through the terrible Comedy Central site, which also requires you to have a cable provider.

I mean, she did so well at sexualizing bisexuality at the start of her career...

Yep. Southwest with early bird check in is the way to go.

I don’t always think about how good a singer Bridgers is, but she’s really skilled. Like Neko Case, she’s got a great voice but doesn’t use vibrato that’s tell-tale of a lot of formally trained singers (although I know she actually is classically trained). I think for her genre, her style of singing fits pretty well.

I cannot begin to fathom what it’s like to be so goddamn wrong

This gets a review, but not The Magicians?

Hi there! Class of PPHS 1996 alum here. Also, I’m a professor, anti-racist educator, and vehemently opposed to the current mascot
(who shall remain nameless, because it’s racist AF). I am so relieved some national attention has been brought to this issue, and yet there are a few things to clarify for readers and also

I think Sorry to Bother You deserves to be on the list if only for its political commentary and probably my favorite plot twist of the year.

Agreed, Get Shorty was great...loved how they actually tied-up the end of Season 2, so even if it doesn’t get another season, you still get closure.

Pretty sad there is no mention of THE EXPANSE. Best sci-fi show on TV, although this season had one plotline that didn’t really work (looking at you Clarissa Mao), it was still brilliant TV. I’d also throw a bone at a lot of animated series (STEVEN UNIVERSE, ADVENTURE TIME, SHE-RA, VOLTRON, HILDA, STAR VS. THE FORCES

The Tale shouldn’t be on the list, but only because it’s a film, and it’s in my Top 10 films of the year.

Trump is a piece of shit. He and his supporters should be reminded regularly and loudly.

This episode – especially all the real life celebration footage at the end – was so clearly McElhenny’s love letter to his city that even I, a born and raised Masshole of 25 years, teared up a little.

Well, she managed to lose only after winning three million more votes, a concerted smear campaign by foreign actors and running in the first presidential election after the gutting of the Voting Rights Act, but whatever . . .

Capitalism remains the true, mustache twirling evil.

How about all us non-Satanists and non-Christians just really stop and think about this for a second.

Silly as it sounds, he’s right. You either make a stink every time, or you run the risk of losing your copyright. Ask Jimmy Buffett.
