I think he's the most underrated part of Goodfellas. Well Liotta was fantastic, but everything he does to embody Jimmy Conway is genius to me.

The thing is that Liotta is so iconic in GOODFELLAS that if you saw him in another Scorsese movie you’d probably just think of his role as Henry Hill. I know Scorsese reuses a lot of other actors, but something about that role stands out.

Fuck this show has so many layers to it. Sally’s storyline felt weirdly aligned with the Amber Heard trial. Domestic abuse victims internalizing their abuse and then the public not understanding that this is a pretty typical response of domestic violence. Because Sally was violent nobody will ever believe someone was…

He’s a professional entertainer, and nobody is obliged to be entertained by him. People will be, which is why he currently has a career. Other people won’t be, which is why articles like this one exist.

Had Louis kept a low profile for a few years and then made a tentative, apologetic return to comedy, I guarantee all would have been forgiven and he would have become fairly big again.

Oh, I thought this was great for an inprov challenge. Jinkx and Viv were both so great (and had at least one very entertaining scene partner each) that I never got the improv-sweats. I can only regret that Viv's Goldilocks never took a turn to full Anna Delvey voice.

Harvey straight-up raped, blackmailed, and also beat up a lot of people. He’s very unambiguously a criminal, not just a creep. 

Make amends to those he hurt. To those whose careers his people threatened if they told the truth about what happened to them. Show there’s been a change or it’ll show that people in power don’t need to. 

He didn’t. He’s never actually apologized for what he did. 

Except he didn’t apologize at all. Nowhere in his statement did he say the words “I’m sorry” or “I apologize”.

Has he tried to make amends for his misdeeds? Has he done anything to undo the hurt he caused? The careers he significantly set back, if not completely ruined?

I don’t know. It’s weird now. He always had pervy comedy, but he presented himself as a helpless, hapless underdog while he was doing it. Now we know he was a very powerful and well-respected comedian whose disapproval could ruin careers, so that pierces that veil and his creepy jokes just become ... creepy.

You’re asking the wrong question.

He's done nothing to indicate that his attitude, views, or behavior have changed. An apology without genuine repentance isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

You can either heal from trauma or constantly try to win the trauma Olympics where no one else’s experiences matter because yours were worse. He never once compared wearing a dress to violent murder.
