Oh yes, it was.

‘Do you want me to be sorry because I’m a white woman?’”she said to a roomful of white women.

Jaywalking is crossing the street when the light says Don’t Walk. I’m born and bred NYC, and I was surprised to visit other cities and learn that pedestrians actually stand there waiting for the light to change even if there are no cars. New Yorkers are in a hurry, so we’ll barrel through even if there are cars so

She was specifically nervous about jaywalking in view of the cops. It was a illustration of her vigilance about being ultra law-abiding, not doing anything that could mess up her parole, but excessively so because everyone jaywalks in NYC without consequence.

The trouble is that the last few seasons of Daya’s arc all stem from an unearned moment —her picking up the gun— making everything else that follows from that point fruit of the unearned tree. I still maintain it would have made far more sense for Maritza to have shot the guard since she’d actually suffered continued a

Thank you for proving my point, love.

Plus, if you need any further proof that his supporters are unhinged and unable to accept anything other than total devotion to their candidate, just check out my greys.

Totally fair. But I’ll say it more explicitly this time— I think the kind of followers one attracts are a reflection on what one says and does, and Bernie attracts smug, tone-deaf mansplainers because he’s kind of a smug, tone-deaf mansplainer. That’s enough to create a distaste which then morphs into outright

I don’t really want to debate his merits, so much as simply answer Bus Pass Trollop’s question of where the vitriol comes from. But thank you for acknowledging that Bernie Bro=/=Bernie voter. There are plenty of reasonable people in his base, but much like Beyonce, he’s got some very vocal loyalists that help

I’m literally talking about the acquaintances and friends of friends with whom I had firsthand interaction, so you’re not going gain much traction dismissing my experience as an HRC-concocted myth, nor do I understand why you’d feel the need to #notallberniesupporters my comment. If you’re not smug, privilege blind,

Not Hevelyn and Shevelyn? That seems like a missed opportunity.

His legion of smug mansplaining bros do him no favors. If I can judge Trump by his base, then I can do the same for Bernie. Please understand I’m not saying the two groups are anywhere near the same level, but I do find the raging privilege-blindness of Bernie Bros to be a direct reflection of their candidate’s

The quote within the article is pretty misleading. If you actually take the time to watch the video, she says, “every woman’s nightmare” as she’s stepping on the scale, just before it reads the number 175. It’s the anticipation and fear of the unknown that she’s describing as the nightmare, not the specific number.

What’s with this pervading idea that you can't be into things that happened before you were born? Most of my favorite music and movies happened before I was born.

I once had an exceptionally polite cat who every time he felt a hairball coming would —I shit you not— get up, walk himself off my bed, rug, or upholstered furniture until he reached hardwood, and then proceed to hack it up. I loved no other cat like that since.

She saying her influence has limits, and it does.

Yeah, I don’t really understand the mindset that if you take up one cause, then you have to take up all the causes. Or the belief that Kim somehow possesses the power to shut down the border camps with one phone call but she’s just too self-absorbed to bother.

She has spoken up, but it’s not like she can bat her eyelashes and stop the border camps.

Um, no, that’s from Borat.
