I kind of feel like if simply using AI-generated elements that last .125% of a movie ruins a movie for you...then you better not ever watch any Marvel movie ever again, considering that 85% of those movies are just computers churning data in a server farm somewhere.

Yeah, I don’t think that the suits who are in charge of this company actually use this website. It’s completely unusable on mobile devices now with 95% ads blocking everything and comment buttons that don’t work because the site is too bust trying to load the next ad.

I’m kind of disappointed that Michael Keaton Batman doesn’t show up at the end.

Yeah, that was sort of my vibe with it. It was sort of like watching a James Bond film, except that it was also documentary on the inner workings of some crazy Q device.

Well, you have to remember that for Disney, it’s because of “SYNERGY!”. Every product they produce is a potential streaming show extension, or ride at a park, or a video game, etc. Small locally specific or niche audience products really don’t work that way.

Disney’s relationship with queer characters isn’t “baffling” at all. Disney is probably the most worldwide media creation company that has ever existed. Everything they do is viewed through the lens of “how will this play in New York City...AND..Podunk, Idaho....AND various regimes in the Middle East and Asia”, and

Yeah, back then the x-men animation was pretty great considering that as a little kid, if you were watching superhero cartoons you watched the 1960s Spiderman or 1970s Superfriends...which were even worse.

So.....is Apple getting their 30% cut out of this when using Twitter on iPhone?

Yeah, I don’t think or know if, say, the Winter Soldier or Black Panther soundtracks are good or bad. But I certainly have no recollection of them to the point where I can hum them on a moment’s notice, unlike say, or a John Williams or Danny Elfman piece. And I’m not even talking about stuff like Star Wars or Indiana

I distinctly remember watching Jessica Jones break a padlock in her bare hands once. That’s probably a $5 million shot right there.

MOON!

There’s probably 35% of the country-wide population right now who don’t believe that Biden legitimately won the Presidency. There’s some not-tiny percentage of people who believe 9-11 was an inside job, etc.

Yeah. It’ll be interesting to see how Season 2 works. Ideally, you want to follow the main character from the end of last season trying to “take down” the games. But that doesn’t seem to be the real allure of season one, which was the surprise of making deadly child games.

How is Barbie NOT a historical thing that exists?

Every single documentary about Titanic talks about how detailed Cameron was in regards to elements on the ship, the scientific theories and papers that were written about how and why it sunk, etc.

Well, yeah. that’s exactly the point I’m making. Things can be insanely popular and well-liked by those don’t have to run off to a discord channel to discuss things about it.

But....”cultural impact” doesn’t change the fact that zillions of tickets were sold.

I mean, the Monster Truck Biscuits thing felt very Disney channel-ish to me. I mean, in a kid’s show, that’s how bad guys are dealt with, in a cartoony non-death ala A-Team. But in a show that up to that point felt spiritually linked to Netflix Daredevil....how does all of that resolve? It feels like at least a couple

Did anyone feel like Echo was missing an episode before the last one.

See, I want to add a bit of lore that says the rubies in the slippers were being used as a way to secretly move Nazi coded messages through the diamond networks of LA and New York, and they accidently found their way into a Hollywood costumer.  These Nazi messages relate to deciphering where the U.S. government has
