Why is there a need to “convince the public” of anything in this case? That just seems silly.It’s not like a garbage man strike that is directly affecting the public in any meaningful or dangerous way. This stroke isn't even even on the radar of 95% of the population.

I would expect it to be something like Crazy Rich Asians, in that, yeah, there’s a bunch of very specific cultural stuff going on, but most of that really doesn’t affect to overall storyline which is more universal in nature.
