Except that being a big fat guy who just kind of used his size to make dumb jokes” WAS his thing. Many years ago, Second City had a bunch of SNL writer alums come back to give a couple of talks, and they all hated when Chris Farley interjected himself into a skit. Apparently they would write something that was charact

It was so safe to build that house in the 80s that it needed to be built ON STILTS.

That’s why I like the Snyderverse. No constant cameos of other heroes showing up and stunt casting of cameos.  Just good old American Way enjoyable superhero action. Nothing meme-worthy.

Paradise Island, The Survivors.

Myers always came off somewhat like a low-rent Robin Williams when in comes to movie roles. If your director gives them too much rope and just says “be funny now! ACTION!” their schtick gets to be pretty grating after awhile and starts to suck out all of the air from the rest of film. There’s a bunch of forgettable

Musk’s vision for Hyperloop was people traveling around in vacuum tubes at 700mph....in reality it’s sityting in his cars traveling at 40mph.

Was anyone’s else bothered by Harrow suddenly being able to deal with falling off the sides of pyramids and being able to fight punch-for-punch with costumes heroes? I much preferred creepy, physically weak but charismatically and cult-leaderly strong Harrow.

So did Musk create.....electric cars? I’d say “yes”, because others have tried and failed, so the X factor his Musk.

you are really, really letting your personal biases show through on that. Shows generally get cancelled through a combination of poor viewership, cost to produce, and development headaches. Legends is probably one of their most expensive shows to produce, and based on a quick Nielson search, is one of the CWs lowest ra

I will never understand the whole “Avatar is just Ferngully/Dances With Wolves” thing from people who also actively support something like Star Wars while ignoring that it’s Flash Gordon with the names files off.

The biggest problem with the post-Avatar 3D trend was that Avatar was designed to be in 3D from the very beginning, so everything had a sense of true depth to to it ( the depth “rounded” correctly with appropriate depth of focus blurring and what not). Pretty much everything after that was filmed in 2D and (for all

Just because YOU don't need it that didn't mean it's not wanted by someone else.

Actually, I’m having a hard time understanding the concept of being a “director” on a Marvel movie at this point. While most movies typically have the director behind the camera for almost every shot, everything I’ve read about Marvel movies indicate that it seems to be filmed by multiple second and third and fight

Regarding the Eternals....no one had ever really heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy before the movie, either. But Guardians did get good word of mouth of being a wacky, colorful, and fun movie.

I’d like some clarification on the “most influential show of all time” bit.

I thought that everyone here agreed that Y The Last Man TeeVee Show was boring, and hardly a fan-favorite.

“Beloved shows” is questionable. “Shows that you personally like” is better.

it’s also hilarious when a show decides to just stop putting in the title character in the show. They should of just called BoBF “Tales from the Outer Rim” or something.

Why?

That’s not entirely true. Once you get past the “This week’s new release!” excitement ( for example, Bridgerton) older 10-year old shows do have a lot of interest ( maybe not to you).
