Really, if the blame of the popularity of these later movies is solely based JK transphobia as the writer suggests, then the constant replays of all Harry Potter movies on TV would be non-existent because no one would be watching those.

The reason rivers run to the oceans is due to gravity. Pumping ocean water upwards to fill a river basin costs way more energy than it produces
it should be Bruce Timm.
If you wait for 5 years to start, the movie won’t be out for another 2 to 3 years beyond that. At the very least, you would need to at least start thinking of the logistics of it now.
“Its true brilliance shines through the lens of iPhone — up close, it sparkles with intense clarity, capturing light from the emerging sun and magnifying the intricate, organic geometry of the leaf’s veins underneath. This is nature encapsulated: a world of beauty and wonder made minuscule.”
I think the most frightening movie I’ve ever seen in my life (over 50 years old) was fairly recent...and I kid you not...is “the Aeronauts”. Sure there’s a lot of beautiful CG in the movie...but it’s an hour and a half of two people prancing about in a little wicker box above the clouds with almost absolutely no…
I don't find paying someone to dm a game much different that paying someone to DJ a party.
I think that overall this idea is very flawed, and it doesn’t really understand D&D at all.... But the idea that there’s an finite amount of characters in a world and people can take them over for a little bit and add to the stories attached to that character for a bit and then release it back to the world for someone…
It’s kind of funny to think of that Abbot and Costello are canon in the Universal Monster universe, given that they have met Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula, Wolfman, the Mummy, and the Invisible Man all in various movies.
Oh man! The second half of Press Your Luck is soooooo terrible. One of the joys of PYL is the speed of which it moves, with a lot of “play along at home” action that all good game shows have.
Isn’t that the Sturgis Harley event?
Here’s another example: Isn’t this how D&D combat works(in a nutshell): player rolls dice to see if they hit, if they hit they roll dice again to see how much damage happens. Then the NPC rolls dice to see if they hit the player, if they hit the player, then they roll dice again to see how much damage happens. For…
Ah the Root. Where I got into an argument with someone who complained that Halle Berry was blacklisted by Hollywood and giving all her roles to Sandra Bullock.
Based on the museums I’ve been to, at least “Big City Museums(tm)“ are usually all of the “permanent display” type, except for a couple of sections that are zoned for rotating travelling displays ( which swap out collection/activities every 6 months or so as you describe)
Yep. D&D is generally not the best game to use for “let’s listen/watch people play games” because it’s so focused on the crunching numbers and look up tables, and pre-set dungeoneering designed by the gamemaster. I haven’t listened to Adventure Zone in a long while, and while the show was funny and the family playing…
Ikea’s marketing department should be fired because we haven’t had a commercial do that yet.
And the line doesn’t even make sense!!! They already assembled! Who the hell whispers “assemble” when you want everyone to charge and attack?
I love the idea of “hey, you know how we can get younger people interested in watching the Oscars? We should promote the hell out of the very first live performance of a popular song!”
Have you ever watched an Oscar’s telecast? 50% of the show is ALL ABOUT making references to movies made decades ago and making lame jokes about famous people’s looks and lifestyles in a light celebrity roast fashion. And really, the jokes aren’t even really funny when you get down to it, it’s more about knocking…
It should be noted that early on in her career, Sandra Bullock started a production company, which I presume is partly so that she can control the projects that she wants to be in, and shape the story/script to her liking. Looking on wikipedia, 5 out of the last 6 films she gets a credit for she was also the producer.
