I keep trying to watch the latest Doctor Who, but it just feels like a lot of frantic running around trying to stop a universe-ending scheme with a lot of timey-wimey nonsense exposition at this point. Maybe I’ve realized that I liked the smaller, the-doctor-shows-up-and-helps-this-single-person-deal-with-this-unfortun

.... So let's focus the story of a white guy who goes to become the savior of a "savage race".

Can we just get "Love is Gone" put back into Muppets Christmas Carol in time for Santa?

At some point with those restrictions, it seems like the correct answer should be "yeah, Hitler can have it"

It makes it easier to knock invaders of the bridge. You’d think that the ancient texts would’ve mentioned him

I guess I would feel differently about it if Indiana Jones was more of an alien truther like Fox Mulder but I prefer the mystical “God works in strange ways that we dont understand” miracles of the first movies. By saying “yeah, it’s just aliens” it removes the mystery and wonder of the artifacts. And you can now extr

In the original novelization of Temple of Doom, the heart pull was actually just a staged magic trick to wow the cultists.

Yeah I hadn’t watched the anime before the live action adaptation ( even though I knew about it), and now that I’ve watched a bit of the anime, I personally think the live action version is better.

Has anyone actually watched the original anime recently? I tried to watch it for the first time and it’s a heck of a lot more disjointed than the live action show. I just feel like a lot of people who are unfavorably comparing the two shows are really wearing “nostalgia goggles” with regards to the anime.

Ifi wanted to watch a show about “regular people without superpowers” id rather watch the DC universe with Batman.

Personally, I hate big name celebrities getting voice-over work for kid’s movies, because, I just don’t get why you pay out those extra millions for Big Name when one of many decent VO actors will do it for a tenth of the price. Maybe it’s worth the free advertising on the late-night talk shows?

We have plenty of Christian churches in our area that fly pride flags year ‘round. One of them even has a gay priest.

I don’t get a sense that this was a “toxic relationship”. It was more based on extenuating circumstances that weren’t explicitly called out in contracts. Unless there was a section that specifically called out “changing to a combined streaming/theatrical release due to an ongoing pandemic”.

Why is it not possible to have an argument of who-gets-paid-what, then have it all settled, and then be best buds again when everyone realizes that they can achieve common goals together?

I don’t hate them actresses in 2016, for the most part, 2016 was retread of the original more so than Force Awakens. Sure, there were superficial differences but I'd  hardly call 2016 "trying something new."

I always feel like Riverdale synopsis(es) make it clear that this is where all the same writers from Gotham seasons 2-5 or so went to after they they were eventually tracked down and told to stop being lunatics.

Actually, I think the Jimmy Olsen comic is just an “unreliable narrator” story told by Jimmy Olsen to cover up the fact that he has a secret identity of putting on a spider costume to fight crime at night in his neighborhood, as newspaper photographers usually do.

I feel like I want to watch a movie now called “Mary Jane and Me”. That basically follow Mary Jane from stupid “but I’m a part-time actor” jobs and auditions. With every now and then, her boyfriends pops in through a window and says “hi” in costume.

I’ve always figured Jim Carrey to be a real actor trapped in Carrey-comedies because that’s where he made money for the studio, thankfully he made enough bank that he got the opportunity to do a few serious, more experimental things. Robin Williams was always good in the non-comedic stuff he did, I always thought it

That’s pretty much how most Doctor Who feels to me, because that’s what happens. The first time I watched “Waters of Mars” the doctor gives this wonderful speech about how patient water is.
