Even though the movie’s main gimmick is stolen from Beetlejuice?

Yeah, see I think that’s where Hollywood gets it wrong. Complaining that you could never make the same show here because “top talent requires top dollar” seems to indicate that “maybe we could hire unknown actors on the cheap.... even ones from different countries” never even crossed their mind, instead of immediately

I havent seen the words “morally gray” paired with “Superman” since 2017 or so.

Actually, I like the idea of changing the icon to some cute sunny bunny, this-game-is-for-3-year-olds, and see how many parents complain about the game because they downloaded it without seeing the title.

From an engineering standpoint....

Yeah, I can’t come up with a good reason why the queen of an underwater empire would be wearing high heels either if you primary way to get around is “swimming”.

I wouldn’t mind seeing this whole “Apple is for creatives” meme go away, personally. Over worked for four different “creative” companies, and all the worker bees use specialized- component-built PC rigs. The only people in these companies with Macs are the managers whose primary computer purpose was writing emails,

You should watch a documentary on all the cleaning NASA does for their Mars rovers. I'm sure their polishing cloths cost upwards to thousands of dollars. Which makes this Apple product cheap in comparison, and you know it will just work as long as you don't hold it wrong.

If you believe the Apple presentation events from a couple of years ago, if you wanted to game on an Apple device, you needed to buy and Apple TV with their slick new controller.

The salespitch from Apple for many, many, many years now has always been “oh just buy a second device”. For example: “Why buy a PC laptop with a touch screen when you can buy a macbook AND an iPad”

I guess my question is, how many times has Disney actually done any hyping? And how much of it was just elevated fan-base noise, because I don’t know how Disney can bear responsibility for that. Sure, I remember some things about LaFou being made a big deal. But I don’t remember Disney/Pixar saying “we can’t wait to

I’m a little curious as to what more one would expect from Officer Spector. I mean, it’s a unremarkable character in a fairly unremarkable movie that is displaying queerness in an every day non-flambouyant “who the hell cares” way.

The thing about “being earnest of family and honestly” is that the whole rule about the wish stone making you give up the one thing you love should’ve killed off the Mandalorian’s son. At some point the movie should become “what did I do to my son to achieve this.”

Oh man. Your right!!

Yeah, your right. WW84 is very much in the vein of Superman 3 with regards to just wanton silliness. My favorite thing about that movie is Superman’s Rebuild-A-Brick-Wall-Vision

I’m fine with that a movie trying to emulate the look and feel of something of that era.

If the viewers aren’t there...the viewers aren’t there. In general, I think you could easily predict the trajectory of how well a show is going to do after the first 5 or 6 episodes...having a sudden increase of viewership is pretty rare (but it does happen on occasion). And a genre show like this is probably too

Is there a reason why the Black Panther has to be black? Wouldn't a fun twist be if Bilbo Baggins becomes the next panther?

It always seemed weird that a techno-organic being from outerspace would be named after a practitioner of pagan sorcery, but if he was named as a callback to another character, I guess it makes sense.

Now I’m confused ( being a New Mutants guy). If Adam Warlock/Magus somehow related to the New Mutants Warlock/Magus character pair?
