I’ve always found it amusing that, while watching movie credits, is that there are credits for the people who put together the rolling credits. And not “interesting main credit sequence and animations”....they get their own call outs. Just the long credit roll. I mean, I get that SOMEONE had to put together that last

But wouldn’t the other argument of this be that Olympic fencing is quite a bit different skillset than “sword fighting to subdue/maim/kill your opponent”? Like, I’d imagine that in sport fencing, grabbing a flaming torch off the wall and throwing it at your opponent’s face is probably a foul or something.

“so I’ve called you all here at warner brothers to brainstorm a few ideas. We have a couple of animation slots opening up, and if liked us to review the huge backlog of intellectual properties that we have from DC comics. Literally 100s of characters to explore...”

I miss the old days when they occasionally did clever things with using the zombies as a weird resource, like when the Governor FedEx-ed a truck full of zombies to the prison.

The fact that Hawkeye wasn’t in Infinity Wars means that Marvel knew that Hawkeye would easily beat Thanos, and there would be no need for a second movie to milk the cash cow.

It did made sense in a world where MTV had a pretty good grasp on the shaping the music industry and the marketing of music.

Actually, I’m sort of amazed that Apple doesn’t require using iPhones ( and other Apple whatnots) to shoot all of their shows on their streaming platform.

So, like 12 people?

Looking back at a silly “super”hero movie through the lens of the last 20 years of superhero movies, and expecting something like “suggesting it’s going to dissect some notion of superhero celebrity” is kind of ridiculous.

The early years of DVDs were pretty amazing with the amount of added content they would add ( behind-the-scenes, storyboards, SECRET HIDDEN MENUS!! ), and I noticed how quickly all the extra stuff went away.

Yeah, it’s surprising that there hasn’t been a Star Wars balloon before. I just went through the list, and it appears that historically almost all of the (licensed) balloons are essentially based on cartoon characters, probably due to their simplified shapes. Or that traditionally most of the balloons were really

I think the weird thing for me with these old covers is that they put the hero so far into the background (even though I love the migraine guy in the lower left corner of Action#1). But at least it does show Superman doing iconic things, with a fearful populace running away from him like the monster he is. Really,

Its interesting how that Spiderman cover artwork is kind of “iconic spiderman” and how little his look and feel has changed. If you you asked me to describe what a spiderman comic cover would look like I in my head, it would come out pretty close to that first issue.

That’s been my take on these reviews. Arguing whether a given episode is fun or not is worthwhile, but complaining about deviations from source material or MCU canon is sort of ridiculous considering the stated premise of this show.

Isn’t he one of the very few big name actors left who have never been in a sequel ( and the Titanic 2: Jack's Back trailer doesnt count).

One of the most despressing things in the world is that indigenous tribes, hidden in places like the Amazon, simply can’t enjoy the sleek beauty of iphones and use the all of the amazing health benefits of the beautiful Apple Watch simply because ATT refuses to put in a 5G network where there is a lack of people.

What kind of degree did she get that requires a $100,000 student loan?

I mean, they may not be stellar movies, but I think that they are interesting experiments in trying to tell a new stories in new places. And I can appreciate that at least an effort was made to be something different than just re-churning out what made the first series successful.

That would be the same argument if California and the northwest were CONTINUALLY under wildfire 24 hours a day/ 365 days a year, which it is not. ( Right now, New Orleans is in a state of constantly flooding without human intervention of pumps and levies without hurricanes ).

For all the talk of “why do people move out to the desert in Phoenix and Las Vegas” where there’s is no water”.... I’m still curious as to why no one complains about people living in New Orleans where the city is already naturally below sea level and requires constant water pumping.
