I’m just curious if anyone who writes at AV Club even knows how movies are actually made when it comes to financing films.

Yeah, Gloomhaven generally did a good job of doing weird things with races/species without the typical “bosomy warrior woman who wears no armor” kind of thing. But I’m not sure how many people really care about the story, given that’s it’s pretty much just an on-the-rails-to-the-next-miniature-tactical-battle kind of

There’s always Melissa McCarthy

The bigger issue is that Disney is planning all these spin-offs and none of them are called “Grogu”.

Still waiting for that Buckaroo Bonazii versus the World Crime League movie

Stockard Channing was 33 when she was in Grease. Oliva Newton John was 29.

Now playing

Silent Hill slot machines are starting to roll out in Las Vegas.

Only if it’s 100 kids versus 2 Gladiators or something.

And don’t forget the stereotypical “Doc” who wears old timey glasses.

somebody along the way should’ve objected to framing an entire ride around a thing that people have a lot more objections to now than they did 80 years ago.

If kids run are around quoting Brave or Coco mimicing those character’s accents, is that really inherently racist?

Except that it’s an industry standard practice that all minor actors need to be accompianied with another adult on movie sets.

Well, a big part of the Fisher thing is that much of his complaining was centered around how much of his character was removed from the Whedon version....which happens ALL OF THE TIME in movies...as proof of wrongdoing.

I have had a couple different people on Facebook that they get all of the information from “all of the news” ( unlike liberals who only watch CNN and the main networks ). In all cases, when asked to list what “all the news” means, it is Fox News, OANN, and Joe Rogan’s podcast, with 1 person also adding Dan Bongino.

I would argue that Wanda’s character is going to be a LOT different going forward.

He’s a friendly NEIGHBORHOOD Spiderman. He’s off stopping muggings and car jackings in the boroughs. He doesn’t have time for dealing with monolithic world trade organization issues in downtown Manhattan.

Ratatouille is one of my favorite films for a lot reasons, I think mostly because it shifts gears so effortlessly between different genres and winds up telling a bunch of little stories instead of one big one.

They spent 5 years rebuilding a society. At least some of them deserve the mansion.

I believe that the Marvel world is much worse than a pandemic. As we’ve just watched in a pandemic, it starts somewhere, and it’s kind of a slow boil...but you watch it spread out as people generally avoid doing anything to stop it until it become a personal issue. But you can watch it happening.

It’s probably has something to do with character rights and whatnot. If someone buys a Stryker funkopop, probably some percentage of that money goes to the MK people.
