Is Raya really Chinese influenced? I thought it was Thai/Vietnamese.

What show are you guys watching? All I’ve seen on my Disney Plus stream is five episodes of sitcoms.
Meanwhile, in Wonder Woman 84, they’d somehow be broadcasting television signals to that computer upping it’s audio and color capabilities.
There’s no need to fall back on a Jewish money grubber stereotype here. Any generic pawn shop would have conveyed what the story needed. But these small bits of racism are so engrained in the culture as ways of conveying meaning that we often turn a blind eye to them when we shouldn’t.
They don’t need to push a complex game. They just need to push out a an 8K version of Crossy Road or Words with Friends.
WB Executives: “Hey, we know that the end of Justice League was just 30 minutes of CGI indestructible beings punching each other ( and Batman shooting machine guns), but after watching Endgame, what people really want to see are ways superheroes can combine their powers to do things in wacky amazing ways. Like…
I forgot about the Austin Powers movies being New Line. And you’re right, they really were “cheap horror and comedy films” up until the mid to late 90s when they started to do more high brow things ( Magnolia, American History X, PleasantVille, Mortal Kombat ).
It should be noted that While Return of the King may have won all-the-Oscars...Oscar’s weren’t really for that one movie, is was for the the entirely of all three films.
I was under the impression from another Bettany interview that essentially said, doing the sitcom homages were fun, but after halfway through or so through the series the sitcom stuff goes away.
I don’t know about the difficult topics....the most compelling part of season 1 that was well-done and realistic is dealing with all the dad stuff.
My complaints are:
List forgets Phantom Menace Trilogy, Temple of Doom ( and well, the Indiana Jones TV show ), and Monsters University.
Yeah, that’s really hard to believe that there was a time when 24 episodes a season was the norm for hour-long shows, after watching things like The Boys, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Heck, even What We Do In The Shadows is only 12 episodes a year.
The other night, I flipped channels and happened a random TNG episode....and realized “wow, TNG was a lot more terrible than I remember.”
If it went by the standard M.O. of any investigation would demanded both parties refrain from making any public comments about it while it was carried out - which,.......A+ for WB’s lawyers and PR folk. Masterstroke right there.
(And I’m kinda wondering if the post-credits sequence is supposed to imply that the ‘70s Lynda Carter Wonder Woman was really Asteria all along? Comic book movies!)
It’s always fun to review this list:
I look forward to Wedge breaking into a museum to steal a fully flight ready X-Wing.
So, Snyder’s Justice League is just going to be “the Boys” with all of the”boys” sections cut out from it?
What, you don’t think it looks cool enough? Because that’s all that matters.
